Smog check
Emissions check
etc....

It will take more than one thing to get it up there, at least without a turbo or nitrous.

edit: here's a post with some good info (searched for horsepower): https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=314858

1 - Tune-Up
2 - Synthetic Motor Oil
3 - K&N Air Filter
4 - Accel Super Coil
5 - Replace your factory catalytic converter with a hi-flow one before you replace any of the rest of your exhaust. It makes almost as much of a difference as headers do.
6 - Performance Muffler
7 - Underdrive Pulleys
8 - Headers (do they make them for the 3rd gen V6?)
9 - Port-Matching of all the intake pieces (will net you about 10 horsepower, seriously... anyone disagree?? shoot me an e-mail)
10 - 1.52:1 or 1.6:1 roller rockers
11 - Better rear gears
12 - lighter flywheel
13 - larger throttle body
14 - high performance cam from Crane or Comp Cams.
15 - At this point, you may want to consider 17lb Accel Injectors and an adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator.

You'll be putting out about ~185 horsepower at this point, but about ~200 ft-lbs of torque. In your third gen, that'll be good for low 15s.

If you want to keep your motor, you can swap in 3.1 parts (crank and pistons), or you can opt for a 3.4 from the 93-95 Camaro / Firebird. (Direct swap... no fuss...)

is all this true and about how much would it cost for all this?

That's a lot of work to do just to get into the 15s IMO. If you're going to do that much work to a motor, might aswell get a better motor to start off with. Only mods I have done is a K&N filter and exhaust... I wish I didn't even have an exhaust or the stance of my car because most people think it's a hotrod, and it's far from that lol. Its how it came when I bought it.

"hey how fast is your car?"
me - "it's not fast at all"
"its a hot rod, its gotta be fast"
me - "its just a v6"
"oh"

Makes me depressed and want to get a V8 lol hell, I already have the gas mileage of one... 10mpg

Yeah, and I'm not the only one who gets crappy gas mileage with the 3.1.

blazer headers will fit your engine, not neccassarily your car. Just get teh Pace Setters that WILL fit.

Chip should be theeeeee very part you get so it cain be programmed to take advantage of all your mods.

i seen that they were almost 275 from pace setter and about 175 from other companies is pacesetter worth the extra 100 dollars? ive bought cheap headers for my other 383 camaro and they were 125 and worked just fine.

what other companies sell headers for our cars for $175? the ones from pacesetter are about $220 through summit and comes w/ a y-pipe.

hedman are 185.00
flowtech are 160.00
hooker are 540.00
edelbrock are 289.00

these all are for the s10 blazer not just our camaro . if i run duel exhaust i think they will work i really wouldnt need a y pipe.

the headers will bolt up to the engine, but may need modification to clear the firewall, and if they do, youll need to fab up a y-pipe. it would be easier and probably cheaper to get the pacesetter headers from summit, they bolt on in a couple of hours and have everything you need. some have reported having to lengthen the o2 sensor wire, but i believe they were all 3.1s. i didnt have to for mine. unless you make the y-pipe yourself, itll cost more to have one made than just buy the set. and also check the primaries size on the rest, some may be 1.25", the pacesetters are 1.5".

dual exhaust will be overkill unless youre doing some serious engine work to allow for it. but even then, may still be overkill. the biggest exhaust on here is 3" catback, and thats on highly modded engines. a 2.5" catback will be more than enough unless youre going to go big, ie. cam, P&P, and even forced induction. double check w/ AM91, but i dont think his exhaust is even that big.

ill probbly get the comp or crane cam and headers first . ill lose the cat converter and run a 3 inch exhaust and a good flowmaster muffler my father in law has a pipe bender so i can experiment a little. this v6 deal is more involved than just building a carbed 350 . this is my first experience with a v6 of any kind.

i remember a thread about the 3" exhaust being perfect, but i think its for a heavily modded 2.8 or a modded 3.4. do a search on 3" exhaust from redraif. you should find all you need to know about which exhaust to go with.

then no. You would need to convert one vehicle to the other type, either MPI, or CARB...
this would also include changing fuel pumps, not an easy thing on a camaro...
