Still car problems, but I see a trend
Alright, still having car problems, really really pissing me off. Car is now driveable outside my neighborhood again so atleast I can really drive it.
As the engine warms up, it tends to run better(still sputter, but not as bad and higher in the rpm range).
Airflow:
filters are good, no intake restrictions
exhaust, full flow no restrictions
compression is even
valves are set
Spark:
all has been replaced except engine ecm, and pickup coil(it ohm tested good)
Gas:
I think my injectors may be plugged, and debris still in the tank as that filter was freakin nasty. I am not dropping the tank in this weather though.
Sensors:
o2 still reads high
I noticed, tunerpro doesnt show the IAT/MAT. So this may be sending a wrong signal saying the air is really colder then it is causing ecm to dump in more gas? Everything else is either brand new, or turnerpro says is fine.

When I got my injectors cleaned all the sputtering and jerking went away, it was most noticible at highway speeds and very random. there was a lot of trash in the fuel system from sitting for 2 years.
I had to replace my IAT sensor twice. The first time it was reading high, 180*. No SES or any problems driving it. The 2nd time was the new sensor, it was reading way low, below freezing. The SES would come on at random times, and fuel mileage sucked!

karr, this all started when I bought a new tank of gas. I finally got a chance to crack the system open, and the filter was dirty. I assume it was from that tank of gas.
bru. Thanks for info. Injectors will go in asap.
Just tested IAT/MAT. That was a fun test to play with

you might try dumping ALL the old gas out and refilling the tank completly with fresh gas,and add some HEET or other water remover with it.
but if it sat, then the injectors are probably clogged as well.

that could be part of it.... especially if, for some reason or another, your intake air would be radically different from the temperature the sensor was reading...

hmmm....regarding the dirtry fuel. I read in the carb section that one gas station accidentally mixed diesel with the regular gasoline. Perhaps you got some diesel in there from that gas station?

Already drove all the old gas out.
Its to be 60deg here saturday, so thats prime weather for cracking a fuel system open. New injector time it is

dale, check the numbers on the injectors, and make sure they are all the same.....
remeber the injectors you gave me a while ago, well only 2 of them were the same, the rest were odd sized injectors but prety close... i got new ones, and now the engine runs well... just a thought to get you going again..... also, if i remember you were running 17#ers still, you are definately running rich with them in there, try spraying a mist of water in the intake to clean the carbon out of the engine it takes almost a liter of water to do the trick... i swear it works and it won't hurt anything... i have done it with every vehicle that i own, and i have never had a problem with it, car runs better after i blow all the carbon out than what they did when i got them.
