im getting rid of all my ****, im putting in new pipes and new mufflers but i dont want to run a Y muffler to dual exhaust, i want to run each individual muffler with pipes from Headers, any opinions in what i have to make sure i do before putting in the headers?

If your gonna use the Pace setters I dont think your idea is gonna work. The design they used is weird for clearance and Im pretty sure youll have more than a 90* bend right after the drivers side header. Not positive tho.

hmm...im not sure if i should get shorty headers or longer ones, which do you guys recommend ?

Really I wouldn't go for "true dual" system in a 6 cyl. You need some of that back pressure. If all you want is a better flowing system, just get larger pipes. But its all about the way you want it.

Im wondering if you'd have a problem with placement of true dual pipes, I dont recall there being a good place for that second one unless it was hanging below everything, and from looking at my car Im pretty sure 2 pipes wouldnt fit side by side anywhere. Not to mention you'd have to get hangers for it too.

a set of long tubes followed by 2 LONG glass-packs the turn downs or take it out the sides

man, I am pretty sure other people have tried this and its not a good idea at all. Sounds like total r!ce above idle cause you only have 3 cyl going to each muffler. if you do decide to go through with it, make sure you have some type of crossover or h-pipe or something (balances out the sound and actually really helps performance)
