nitrous kit on a 2.8?
ok my camaro has the stock 2.8 with 73k, hawks shows this nitrous kit for 600 dollars, its for a 100-150 shot, and it says you can run up to 140 on the stock motor? is this correct, if i rigged it up for a 100 shot i wouldnt blow the **** out of my motor? or damage it? i dont believe it...i mean come on its almost doubling the motors HP.

I wouldnt add nitrous unless your planning on upgrading the motors internal parts, but thats just me. Id be afraid of frying the bearings.

Was a guy here a year or so back who had a mustang 5.0 100 shot kit on a hi mile 2.8 for 2-3 years with no problems. Holley told me a 65 shot was safe but that was a dry system. If your adding fuel 100 should be fine.

take that $600 you would spend on the NOS kit and buy a 350 from the junkyard. you'll get way more power out of that than the NOS upgrade.

i think its a dry system, and regarding the v8, no...id rather smoke an 8 or at least keep up with one, in a six, even if it costs more $$, plus i like the fact that i havent put gas in my car in three weeks, and i still have a quarter tank...

I had a V8 Camaro, its not even close to as fun as a my V6 Bird.
And before ya know it, the same guys who said buy a junkyard 350, its a better mod. Will then tell ya ya gotta stroke that mouse if you want any real power. [+ intake, carb, heads....] Small number will say, why stroke a mouse, just go BB rat.......... Id say go SBB they come stroked factory and will pump 500HP & TQ with just the aid of a die grinder. But It never ends..............
Maybe you should put an iron duke in their on purpose and really mess em up
