Was there ever a 24 Valve 2.8?
Buddy of mine says that he has one, says there's a plate on the top of the motor classifying it as such, but I don't think there ever has been one that wasn't 12 valves. Any insight?

He's saying it's in his Firebird, I dunno, I think someone found a plate, plopped it on the Intake or TB and shafted him.

There have been many 24 valve V6s made, but since this is the third gen site and specisfically the V6 forum, I'll narrow it down to one that would relate to this vehicle.
There was 3.4L DOHC, 24 Valve V^, based on a 660, but the only swappable parts are the crank and the intermediat timing chain (and some bearings), between it's pushrod counter part.
This engine was only ever offered in FWD vehicles, namely mid '90s Grand Prix, and a few other vehciles mostly of the same W-body platform.
I have only heard of one person, long ago attempting to install one of these engines in a third gen, but I never heard if he got it running or not.
