spuddering?

I finally got my camaro running, after trial and error. She fires right up, sort of. Runs good, but has some spuddering or hesitation like a skip, cant seem to figure it out. Any ideas. Its a 88 camaro, 2.8L mpfi, new plugs, wires, cap, button, coil. Could old gas cause this problem? It has sat up for awhile, before I bought it and got it running. Here is a pic of what it looked like under the hood when I first got it.

i had the same problem on my 2.8, go start it up let it run for a few minutes, and then smack the MAF with your hand(not as hard as you can!). if it stalls out or spudders you need a new one. haha i kno its funny but thats what was wrong with mine, after you put in a new one you can do the same thing and nothing will happen.

Mine does the same thing. It takes two cranks usually and it idles rough. No vaccum leak or anything wrong with sensors. Could it be the MAF?

yeah it might be the MAF, but believe me once you change that you are gonna notice a lot better performance, i mean its obviously not gonna be any faster, but it will idle start and run much better.

I have gotten a code for the MAF a couple of times recently. I was wondering what it was about. Where can I get a new one?

mine has high idle around 20-2100 rpms even when it has run for awhile. I checked the MAF, and it seems to be fine.
