K, I already have the dual snorkel and everything else from my 89 RS. My problem is the setup on my 90 RS is a little different.

What needs to be done to relocate the sensor?

I think I've seen people using the MAF sensor, but I don't know exactly what would need to be done to use that.

you are putting a dual snorkel intake on the car pictured right? and what sensor are you talking about the MAF, if so that just stays where it is.

 

its a 3.1 it dosent have a maf. u would need to get the rubber bellows of a 2.8 car that has the dual snorkle intake. on the end of that u would have to get a short piece of 3 inch tubing and a 3inch silicone/rubber connector to hook the tubbing to the airbox.
i belive the sensor u are talking about is the air temp sensor,the dual snorkle airbox has a place to screw it into, u will just have to extend the sensor wires so they reach


edit or u can just go buy two 3 inch connectors and use a lil longer piece of 3 inch tubing which would work/look much cleaner

 

Yea I have the complete setup sittin in my 89 RS. So I do NOT need to hook up the MAF? I don't know if this makes a big difference but this is a 2.8. Thanks Dave.

 

if the car has a maf, yes you do have to hook it up. the picture is loading very slow so I don't know exactly what it shows but, maf has to be in there if the car has one, and if you have/are asking about the IAT sensor, extend you wires and screw it in/plug it in.

 

i posted a pic of my project cars air intake dual snorkel design.
you can see the MAF in the pic and the IAT sensor as well.
thats factory locations.

Search my user name, I posted a whole tech writeup on how to do this, including gutting the maf. It was a year ago or more, so you will have to hunt.

 

Aight, cool deal, I found it. I'll be gutting out the MAF 2morrow or sometime this week. I'll see if I can find a way to cut out the side witjh the connector
