Ayone in here fabricate "air tunnels" for dual snorkels?? 90 camaro RS
I use "air tunnels" just because idk what else to call them.
But what I'm looking for is are 2 "air tunnels" to go from where these fog lights are in this pic up into the bottom of the air filters in the dual snorkel

If no one does, what would be the best way to go about building them myself (tools, material, etc. etc.)??
Thanks

so you want a dual duct from a carb or are you talking about the v6 using the TPI air cleaner setup? i think you want to know if you can take air from the scoops right behind the fog light area all the way up to the L69 or TPI intake? is that what you want to know? I think that might take make th car run hot. maybe i'm wrong. ny other opinions?

Here's my setup to help out.
I would like ducts to go from both sides of the license plate

up into the bottom of my air cleaners

the that air would go into my 2.8 engine

Hope that clears up everything

I'd say aluminum sheet(scrap yard), a box of rivets and a rivet gun would be able to make that quite well. Sure, it wouldn't look nearly as nice as the Hawks one, but who's gonna see it?

Another way to make these (still working on some design ideas myself) is to sculpt them out of styrofoam, so they flow from your vents behind the fog lights(you could even leave the lights in place!) to the intake.
Then, just fiberglass over the styrofoam. Once the 'glass has set up, dissolve the styro with acetone to reveal the fiberglass ducts! Paint and install...

Mine already has the factory "ducts" in the location you're all talking about. Don't they direct air onto the radiator or trans cooler? If thats the case, a possible cooling sacrifice is possible?
Also, you can get some ABS plastic and make that piece. 100$ is a bit much...
If you're comfortable with using chemicals, dichloromethane can be used to fuse the ABS, rather then glue it. You have to ability to make strong mounting brackets, ears, and other small pieces, with no worry of the strength, due to limited gluing surface area. Used correctly, you can even make a complete, single piece by lightly brusing your seams with a cheap paintbrush, that will be ruined.
What about driving in the rain with this piece forcing air in. I know there will be filters, but once wet, they're not going to perform correctly, and there's still a chance of some water getting by I'm sure. I've been working on a set of fiberglass scoops on the hood of my car, and plan to be able to open and close them with a small actuator (possibly wired in with the wipers).
(before you get that mental picture, the butterfly valve will be located back in the air tube, rather than right on the front, where it can be visible, there's just not enough room to work it out on the visible part of the scoop)
Using the hood also allows me to join into the breather directly from the top. Really "ramming" in in, with as few turns and angles as possible.
RSRSRS, I just was re-reading and realized I have a running 2.8 V6 and transmission, that has been parked for about 3 months. It's going to go with what's left of that car to the junk yard, unless I find someone for a use for it. Interested? Would it be worth the travel / shipping?
