2.8 help

2.8 help

This morning i tried to start my car the engine cranks fine but
wont start. i have no check engine light and the car started just fine last night.

i dont think it's getting spark because i can hear the fuel pump.

i just looked at my starter and it's covered in oil from bad valve cover gaskets
could that be the problem?

Like I said on the other site, check you connections at the distributor and your grounds.

That plugs into a sensor on the back of the passenger side head. I have no idea what it does. Fan sensor, I think?

i just pulled the cap off of my pressure relief valve to see that it was gone
can i swap one over from another fuel rail or do i replace the whole thing?

What is gone? What was the cap on? You talking about the valve on top of the fuel rail?

The module was good. the valve on the fuel rail did have a cap when i took it off i saw that the valve was gone so i turned the key to on and the valve came out along with gas, so i just swapped one from another fuel rail.
I'm getting spark, in the past two days ive replaced the plugs, cap, rotor,
and coil. when i pull a plug out to test it it does spark. i'm running out of ideas and i need this car to run so i can get to work tomorrow.

How were the plugs? Damp? If so check the oil for contamination with gas. Yes it happened to me. If plugs are ok then check fuses and timing, sounds simple but effective.
