A few questions

I'm wondering if a 4th gen 3.4 intake would benefit my 3rd gen 2.8 I couldn't see the back so I couldn't tell if it would clear the dist. I just thought it would look really cool and perhaps flow good enough on the 2.8 to spin to 6000rpm. is there any suspension stock for stock that is better than the F41? everything I saw at the wrecking yards says no.

Re: A few questions

The intake will not clear the distributor. As far as I know, the stock suspension is it as far as what came on the V6 F-Bodies. Higher end engine packages came with better suspension options.

Re: A few questions

I took my calipers with me to the J/Y and measured an '87 v6 with the F41 suspension and an '89 Z28 they measured exactly the same. Is the Iroc equipped with better bars or is the F41 suspension as good as stock gets?

Re: A few questions

get urself a set of 1le bars and a wonder bar if u dont already have one.

i put both on my car, and damn what a difference, the wonderbar alone made a nice diff in the frontend of the car

Re: A few questions

stock intake flows fine, if you can't spin up to redline and beyond fast and hard, you need to open up the air intake or the exhaust.

When I went to a true side pipe I lost that on mine, so I had to blow the end of the bend out so it also blew straight to get that back.

Also have a super low restrict foam filter with true cold air ram/air.

Re: A few questions

The intake doesnt flow any better, and doesnt clear the dizzy as mentioned. Its also harder to port/debur then your stock.

As for suspension, most is NOT the same. I "think" you could grab a rear swaybar and thats about it.

Re: A few questions

OK I'll go with a wonderbar and adjustable shocks. Besides all I have for competition is an SVO with all the option boxes checked weighing in at about 4k lbs.
