Gone 86 firebird

Hi guys and gals,

Wanted to let u know that our firebird was stolened. We were ready to paint it. My son, tyler and I had put a year or so in to rebuilding it. Alot of people on this site gave us great advice, Wa swapped out a 2.8 to a 3.1. had a few bucks into it. The cops found it the next day smashed around a tree. Totaled out. Total loss...Tyler only had liabilty on it. Blood in the vehicle but no suspects. Got away with it I guess.

Good news is we found another 86 with 305, t-tops and in better shape. Start over. Love firebirds

Re: Gone 86 firebird

ahhh man that sucks. Glad you have looked and found another one tho. I always think about something happening to my car, and am reminded by my father all the time. He always says "it doesnt matter how much money and time you have in your car; it only takes one person to take it all away". Sry to hear about your loss. It will all work out in the end, you never know you might find a nicer and better car.

That stinks, but sounds like they kinda got a bit of what was coming to them. heh....

I agree with the other guy, time for an upgrade out of the v6 arena. Good luck with it.

Re: Gone 86 firebird

Someone stole a V-6? They could plead insanity?

Seriously, sorry to hear!
Maybe the blood could lead to something or I watch too much CSI
At least some pain was inflicted upon him. Kahrma can be a b**ch!
Sounds like an amatuer out for a "joy ride"

V-8 w t-tops, eh?
It can sometimes be easier finding parts and upgrades than the v-6.
Throw a double ignition switch or a simple alarm, that will deter or stop most amatuers
Enjoy your other firebird

Because a thief is going to pop the hood, check the motor out, and then decide if he is going to hit the next house..

Do you listen to yourself? ... Dumbas5....

Re: Gone 86 firebird

They were out to hurt my kid, I think. never have problems like that around my house. As for the GF montana police, I wont hold my breath, I do not think I could hold it that long. Problem is the towing company wants 450.00 to release the wrecked one. it is not worth it. The new firebird is pretty nice tho.

Re: Gone 86 firebird

That sucks man. Hopefully you can use the old 'Bird as a parts car. My first car was a 305 Camaro and people used to tell me I should swap to a 350 and I kind of ignored them. 'Till one day I did and it is so much better. Trust me man get a 350 and your son will be more than happy it is a big improvement.
