Injector o-ring - lube with oil or RTV

I have a manifold leak and will be reworking the entire intake. The repair books say put a thin film of oil on the injector o-rings. Any thought on whether a thin coat of RTV be better or worse? Mike

Worse. RTV breaks down with any gasoline contact. Just put a couple drops of oil on them so they slide in nicely.

We use petroleum jelly (vasoline) at the shop. Nice on my hands too.
