Another ticking engine thread.
When I bought the car I didn't notice any ticking. Now after a winter in a cold garage it is ticking when warm. I have been driving around with it a few days and the ticking is a bit annoying.
Could it have something to do with the oil pressure? I started it up today and the oil pressure gauge was around 40. Let it warm and it started ticking again, also the oil pressure gauge goes to 0 when the engine is warm. I have heard that SeaFoam might help but I can't even buy that stuff here.
The ticking sound goes along with the rpm. If I accelerate the ticking gets faster.
Any help is appreciated.

Check your oil level and look for any obvious oil leaks. One thing you can use instead of SeaFoam to help clean the inside of the engine is readily available to you... It's auto trans fluid. The ATF has detergents and such in it that can help get rid of the oil oil deposits and ash the same way that SeaFoam does, and it actually helps lube the engine as well, unlike SeaFoam.
Drain about a half to full quart of oil out of the pan (unless it's already low) and put ATF in to the Full line on the dipstick. Run with the ATF for about a hundred miles or a little longer (but not until the 3000 mile mark) and then change the oil and filter.
:edit: And don't trust the factory gauge... They're wrong more often than they're right (I'm one of the lucky few that still has one that's nearly accurate).

Re: Another ticking engine thread.
Oil is at the full line. When the car was on a lift I noticed the front of the engine is covered in black oil but couldn't find a leak. It keeps the new oil in good though.
I will try the ATF tomorrow or monday.
(Aww.. I just changed the oil and filter 2 days ago and now I have to change them again.

Re: Another ticking engine thread.
That would either be the intake manifold, front oil seal in the timing cover, or the timing cover gasket leaking. Probably the lower intake, as those are notorious for going bad on the 60*.
You may be able to get away with running for the full duration with the ATF, but I wouldn't recommend it as it may thin out the oil slightly even though it provides lubrication (ATF is not as thick as 5W/10W-30 when hot).

A friend of mine told me that it could have wrong spark plugs. Could that cause it to start knocking/ticking when the engine is warm?

Doubt it.
Seafoam + miracle mystery oil + a little atf = mine doesn't tick anymore.
If none of the crankcase cleaners work add in 1/2 a bottle of Lucas oil with the next change. It's a lot thinker then regular oil and can keep lifters pumped when 5w30 can't.

Re: Another ticking engine thread.
my similar ticking sound came from header gasket leak (blown gasket)...and would increase with rpm....any headers installed??? Or do stock exhaust manifolds have gaskets???

Re: Another ticking engine thread.
Started the car today and it was ticking when cold. I just got bored so I took a video of it.
It sounds like it's coming from the drivers side valves.

How many miles on the engine? Also, what in the world is that strap between your plenum and firewall?

Maybe some kind of ground wire?

That's pretty wacky! My engine ticks and sounds a lot like yours but I also have 150K on my engine so I just chock it up to worn out vale components or something. I also wanted to mention that your oil leak could also emanate from the timing chain cover.

Re: Another ticking engine thread.
I asked a mechanic about the noise and he said that the car has hydraulic lifters and the noise is caused by a sticking lifter. And that I should use some kind of engine flush. So the valves are not adjustable? I thought that my car doesn't have hyrdaulic lifters.

Re: Another ticking engine thread.
I think I'll just leave it ticking for a while.
If it won't go away in a week or so then I'll try some kind of engine flush.
everyone for helping me.
