Re: more pep frm my 3.1
This question gets asked at least once a month, and has been throughly answered many times..
If you're looking for just some simple things and bolt ons, there's headers, catback, 1.6 rockers, underdrive pulley, AC delete. More advanced you could get a cam and do some head porting. If you've got knowlege and money you could turbo or start a hybrid..

Ok I forgot to mention I have under drive pullies, catback, gutted cat .. was thinking headers but they don't do to much do they ? Also what exactly would doing the 1.6 rockers do ? Nd I was looking at a cam setup but wasn't to sure what to go with .

Re: more pep frm my 3.1
It's a 3.1 not a 2.8, if he had a 2.8 then he could stroke it to a 3.1, otherwise I don't know of any setups that can stroke a 3.1, 1.6 rockers have the same effect as an aftermarket cam, more lift on the valves, and headers do as much as the rest of the exhaust combined, especially since the stock exhaust has a crappyass t-junction in it, if you get pacesetter headers they come with a Y-pipe, cam wise a 260 grind is a good choice if you do supporting mods, but its a bit of a higher powerband.

Ok so I can do the rockers with no other internal work and it will actually help me out and give me more power ? Also the headers your talking about are the ones for the 2.8 correct ? And its direct bolt in no modifications .
And thanks a lot guys I really appreciate the help.

Headers I believe bolt right up to either engine, check summitracing for that, rockers if they are stamped steel non rollers should fit under stock valve covers(as far as I know) if they are roller tips, roller fulcrums or full rollers I believe they will not fit unless you get fiero valve covers.

Yes, the Pacesetters will bolt right on. Only if you remove the AIR pump and find a way to plug the AIR inlet at the catalytic converter. Which means that you can't do this in California (the only state that said NO to the Pacesetters being smog legal).

I think I have heard about some people who had stroked them out to a 3.4 before though. Oh well maybe it is just my imagination!
