92 3.1 v6 only idles

Car: 1992 Firebird
Engine: 3.1
Transmission: 700r4
92 3.1 v6 only idles
the car idles with an occasional miss... if you so much as touch the throttle it stutters and dies... so far it has given me code 33 ( map sensor) and i havent a clue on other possibilities... any ideas or should i buy a map sensor.... possibly tps?
