2.8 throttle body vac lines.

i was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is? its where vac lines run into the top of the throttle body? i took it off while rebuild the engine and was going to repair the vac lines but it is no where to be found.... i was wondering if it is a junk yard item or a parts store item and what is it and what it does? thank for you for everything.

one of them is the FPR vac line, the other is EGR and also ties in to the evap canister I believe. If you're missing the rubber block you are probably SOL, if you just need the vacuum line, you can get that at pretty much any parts store, you will just have to figure out what size and length..

Talking about the rubber vacuum block for the TB right? I MIGHT be able to part with mine, I am doing a plenum swap to 3.4, but I have to check if it has some other spot for me to route the FPR too(I think it does if I recall correctly, but have to double check) also depends on which TB I use, I'll let you know once I figure it out.

Re: 2.8 throttle body vac lines.

A broken vacuum line is going to allow unmetered air in to the engine. In other words the air flow meter does not see this extra air, therefore throwing off the air/fuel mixture. Your engine will not run right, and an oxygen sensor will see this as the engine running lean probably causing your check engine light. Vacuum lines are usually an easy cheap fix. Mine all broke on me without me even touching them. Good luck

What he said, tho non essential ones can simply be plugged in a pinch.
