Six out of six plugs are changed, along with coil wire and the SP wires

.. and it feels lol!!!

Yeah i noticed MORE of a difference with new WIRES over the plugs.. did 6 plugs first, then new wires. The electrodes were burnt on the wires, and the six plugs were "burnt at the boot."

Want to see pics of old ones?

But yeah.. its changed. now i wonder if my fuel economy will go up?

If you have the money, finish the tune up... Filters (air, oil, transmission), PCV valve, new fluids all around (trans, oil, coolant)... You've already done the plugs and wires, so these are about the only things left.

This. Always good to finish it all the way around.

Well, the coolant is changed out
Trans "scares me" i topped it up, runs well, idk? (Do ALL automatics have a whine when you back up at like 20MPH?)
Oil was changed too.

Seems if i changed the ATF< its all the way tuned up!

And my PCVvalve works, i tested and cleaned it.
And Seafoamed it, three times.
And blocked off "Air pump" and "Check valve"
AND fixed a vacuum leak, coming from it, by doing that.
And used to put MMO in the gas
all is well

What color is your trans fluid now? If it's pink-dark red you should be OK to change it. If it's brown-black then dont bother with it, you'll need an entirley new tranny soon enough. It will make a while when reversing fast, thats normal.

If you do change the ATF i'd recomend getting a new pan with a drain plug too. They look much better than stock and make future fluid changes a breeze! I think mine was about $20 shipped.

It is a mid-purplish-red color. Added about one quart since i got it. And ive had cars with "Burnt-smelling brown trans fluid" and this car is NOT one of them! (those cars both eventually needed new transes, you are right. One didnt go backwards, PERFECT forwards!)

I am thinking about how to change it through the trans line. I also dont trust shops, since they equate the trans to failing.

And people DO say change pan/filter/screen, and it will clog and then change it again! Its in VERY good shape. Should i bring it somewhere to change NOT FLUSH it?

ONLY way to change ALL of the trans fluid is to flush the trans. At least half of the trans fluid is actually in the torque converter, not the pan.

:edit: Also change the PCV filter in the air cleaner if there is one (I'd think there is).

In most carbed air cleaners, the tube coming off of the PCV valve will connect to the filter pipe on the outside of the air cleaner. The filter is generally held inside the air cleaner housing by a clip. What you have in those pics is the carb, not the air cleaner. Just take the top off of the air cleaner (the pan thing that the air filter sits in) and it should be on the outer edge, where the PCV tube comes into the air cleaner. It may not be there... I've seen cars that have it in the air cleaner and others that just have a tube connecting to a nipple on the air cleaner with no filter inside. Generally, the filter is pretty much a sponge.
