Selling out

Some things have come up where i am not going to be able to finish this project not car related rather the ex wife. The car will be going up for sale shortly as i have sold off most of the parts i had for it. If anyone is interested lemme know. Its a decent 91 bird with T-tops and the ground effects. The t tops do not leak, the car runs strong and has started the first time for the year i have had it. Its been WELL mantained and not beat on. I will see what i can do to get the pic's of it developed shortly. I am looking at getting 3500.00 locally for it however will sell it to anyone on this board for 2900.00. The trade in value in rough shape was 2800 alone. The car as it sits now exterior 7 of 10 (small dent in passenger door, typical GM paint of the early 90's) Interior 8 of 10 (needs a good steam cleaning, needs new drink holders mine are breaking. Dash is 100%, small rip in driver side seat. Over all running condition 8 of 10) its 10 years old, but again, runs strong.... With a good tuneup i would concider it 9 of 10, 10 being zero miled new. It has 110,000 on it. Needs new driver side head light motor, horn and window (passenger side) switch. Passed emissions last time it went thru.

From what i have been told the 90 and 91 firebirds got em.... Big pain in the rears if ya ask me... they hold the 44oz cups great but i tend to kick mine when getting in and out... It finally cracked and i had to repair it... there like 50.00 each new from what i have seen... Who knows. If ya don't got em... be glad IMHO.

Hey vortech.... just cuz i can and i think what ya did was pretty crappy... heres a breakdown of what my car is worth on a fair market system and what it's worth with a V8...

V6 ---- AVERAGE CONDITION
Trade in Private deal Car lot sale
Total $2,847 $3,397 $4,296

V8 ---- Condition Adjustment (Average) -$469 -$540 -$653
Total $3,204 $3,817 $4,821

The V8 was as follows:

2 Dr Formula Coupe Trade-In Private Party Dealer Retail
Vehicle Base Price $3,284 $3,852 $4,799
Optional Equipment
8 cyl 5.7 L Engine 53 68 91

I added the same equipment as my V6 has.... So pls... Try and have some respect, it would be like me wasting your time offering 500.00 for your car... oh i added 200.00 more for the supercharger. I am quite stabile in my bills and finances and don't need a quick sale.

Regards.....

Never have owned a Mach 1 but i did own 3 69's in my short 32 years. 2 general 69 mustangs and a Boss 302. My first 69 grande had a 302, we pulled it and bought a wreaked falcon (i think it was) anyways it had a 427. With the exception of a intake, cam, carb and headers the engine was bone stock. In the mustang it pulled a best of 12.01 at 114mph NO nos. I was in the navy stationed in hawaii at that time, i sold it for 2000.00 to a friend. We never dynoed it but thought it to have around 400 ponies. The boss was bought thru an local auction for 3000.00 it was a drug dealers car. I also was a MAJOR fool and left it on the side of a highway after it blew a tire. 30 minutes later it was gone. The last mustang wasn't a grande, it had a 302 we built upto about 325hp and sold for 4500.00. To this day i wish i still had the 3 of em. I have concidered getting a Trans AM again, i had a 78 that i used to race in new hampshire when i was in my early 20's. Best of 11.27 at 121mph if i recall, that was on slicks and a 125hp shot. It had the 6.6 liter 400 bored 30 over. 455 heads, cam, 10:1 compression yadda yadda. It was a fast car, i sold it the day my daughter was born along with my gun collection. So... now i am 32 in afew days, my girls are with there mom in massachusettes, i am here in texas with a fiancee, both of us make good money, i got money in the bank and a MAJOR itch to return to my youth ---- MuHahahahahahaha...... My dream car of all time:

1969 Nova painted jet black w/
454 CID 30 over
B&M 8-71 blower ---- all chrome
Tubbed rear end

Unfortunately the 69 novas are rare and expensive. So i will settle for a 69 to 78

Ooh. Don't get a '74 Nova. They're damn near impossible to find parts for- don't believe me? Search the internet. They changed the rear quarters and rear bumpers...

We had a '76 Nova once.. damn, that was a sweet car. It had a 200ci I-6 and tons of potential- too bad the body-to-frame mount rusted out
