quick and to the point, does the fiero 2.8 v6 throttle body work on a camaro v6? are any mods needed to make it work? is it worth the effort?

When i built my 3.1L i asked the same thing. The answer i got from the fiero guys was nope... BUT i called the local fiero shop and they fully race preped my TB for 200.00 bucks. It flowed alot better ect ect. The other thing you can do is hit the local junkyard and pull a TB off a 305 ot 350. You then fab a back plate so it will bolt to yer intake and you are gtg... Write the owner of the z24 website... his site is www.turboz24.com he did that and it runs great.

For the Camaro guys, that's a help, as they have more air coming in, to possibly make the dollar effort worth it.
For the Firebird guys, we can't get that much air in there, (lack of "rammed air set ups")
How much extra power can this "enlarged" throttle body make?
I could have gotten one yesterday. Along with the valve covers. But, not into pulling apart the top end to swap valve covers yet!

Why don't you go to a Upull and see the 2 TB's side by side.. You may be able to take the top of the fiero intake and use the fiero TB on your car and have no modifications to do...

I was thinking that same thing, Brian... of course, then the top of his motor will say "Fiero", but a grinder should take care of that

Why grind, melt some lead to fill it in and smooth it out..

Hmm... I heard talk of machine shops opening it up, but how do they really do it.. It does not look like there is much to play with on our TB's......

I read somewhere about a guy that used a TB from some ricemobile, I think an Integra, I'll see if I can find and post it.
