Fan sensor

Bought the 92 RS back yesterday and I got a few problems . Guy ran in the back of someone so there is a crack in the front of the car (need a new nose). Clutch is slipping BADLY when you get on it hard. And the fan doesn't come on at all! So I got the temp sensor that tells the fan when to come on. I hope this is the problem. But I cant seem to find where it goes. Can anyone help me out??? Thanks alot!

Not to sound stupid, but is your coolant full? If It isn't, the temp sensor for the fan wont even register....so maybe its not gone... but if its full of coolant...well, I'll see where it is tomorrow.

Ok I noticed that the coolant in the reservoir (sp) was empty. But the coolant in the radiator was full. So I filled it up in the reservoir (sp) and in less than 3 days it was totally gone. I didnt notice any leaks in the radiator so what is up? And the fans aren't comming on damnit.

Pesky V-8ers come visit us & bitch!
Geeze!
One fan sensor is in the worst place possible, back of passenger side cylinder head.
Keep filling with water, until you find the leak.
May be head gaskets, too.
That's what it was/is on my S-10 Blazer.
BUT!!!
It could also be a bad fan motor!
Try hot wiring it first, to test it!
IF it's ONLY water, it's evaporating. Water boils like 210*
Fan kicks on at 220*

This may be a long shot, but check for water in the oil. Turn the engine on and look to see if water sprays from anywhere. The same thing happened to me when my TB bypass hose clamps loosened up.

I had an oddball leak like that once... one of my heater hoses cooked against the edge of my exhaust manifold. It made a pinhole leak that would spray onto the exhaust and "disappear"- no drips on the ground. I finally caught it by raising the hood to do an oil change, and I saw steam...

Well, I am not sure what is wrong with your car, but seeing how I am having Rad Troubles myself, I have a suggestion.

Run the car till its warmed up, then shut it off. Pop the hood, and look under. My car only leaks a small amount while driving. But once it is shut down, all the heat and pressure from the motor pushes the water back through to a hole on the passengers side plastic on my rad.

(Its only a pin hole, but when I shut it off, it will blow a couple of litres through it in a matter of a few minutes...)
