Timing problem

After replacing timing chain and gears I set the timing to 10 deg with the tan/blk wire unplugged, it will idle ther but lags when given gas. I plugged the wire back in and cleared the codes, now it wont idle but revs up good? Its an 89 RS with a 2.8 it was running very good before the chain broke.

Re: Timing problem

Replaced pickup coil and she's up and running. Found a good video on youtube for replacing it. Why didn't they use more manly wires on these things?
