DAMN LOUSY TRANNYS!
GREAT POWERFUL ENGINES!
DAMN LOUSY TRANNYS!
That's fair price.
BE THERE WHEN HE REBUILDS IT!
Mine is going to cost $650
DAMN POWERFUL ENGINES!
How much tire rubber do ya have left?
ANY REAL TRANNY ?'s Go to the tranny section
Pro Built Leo and DANA REALLY know their stuff!
Really know their stuff!
I knew mine was going when I started smelling what smelled like roofing tar, boiling, on the freeway.
Don't change the fluid!
Then ya only have 1-2 gears.
From one that found out the hard way.
$hit.
NO ON WRECKING YARD TRANNYS so little room, max effort to swap trannys.
I'll take a wrecking yard tranny chance on my 1985 S-10 Blazer. Alot more room to move around.

Yeah, price sounds good; mine was rebuilt for $380. A rebuild kit's only $80 or so, and a rebuilt torque convertor's also cheap. (You need a rebuilt torque convertor because your original is probably filled with metal shavings from the blown trans.)
Is the guy doing all the work, including removing & installation? If you're doing the work, don't forget to flush out your trans cooler lines; those probably also have metal shavings inside 'em.

Go to the tranny section.
Ask for Pro Built Leo or Dana.
Those guys REALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF
I had a chance to chat with Dana.
Both these guys will put you in the best position to help ya!
Then you can teach us!!
BUT REMEMBER, since ya just did the engine, those tranny bolts are easy to unbolt, now!
My Firebird Tranny is being done, in & out by someone. I know how tight it is down there.
That's why I'll take on doing my S-10 Blazer tranny job. A bit more room.
Watch the guy rebuild it. It's a good lesson.
