Porsche 3.9L Twin Turbo... I know its a flat six, but what if??

I have been completely ragged on for posing this question before because I accidentally called the 3.9L Porsche engine a V6... but hey, you get used to saying "V6" because it's a very popular configuration...

So here's my blatantly obvious question:
How much work would it take to get a Porsche 911's 400 Hp 3.9L twin turbo under the hood? I know it would probably take a complete tear down, but you would have a 4 sec or less 0-60 and probably a good 10 second quarter mile.

You'd do WAY BETTER to purchase a NEW CORVETTE Z06. Cheaper cost.
CORVETTE OWNERS HATE THOSE NOISY, FANCY VW'S.
I know.
I've got a 1974.

forget the hood, get the engine/transaxle, a saws-all, welder, and new fuel tank.

Throw on some TTA decals, or maybe a fiero 2M6 badge.

The possibilities are only limited to your wallet.

OR:
keep the f-body, buy a bug for $300, slap the porsche engine in it, instant fried rice

Just got a stellar idea!
Go out and buy a Porsche 911 turbo, rip off the body and gut the interior... slap on an f-body, swap in the interior and there you go... total project cost: $140,000 simple as pie. I was posting this purely hypothetically, I am happy with my ~175 ponies.

They did however make an option in the new bug that has the porsche engine in it. I would call that more of a sauerkraut car though, not rice...

Those porsche-packing 70's bugs are freakin EVIL. Bugs were NOT meant to do wheelstands... but damn it looks cool, and that ***** sitting next to it is never gonna figure out what hit him. (Btw, by fried rice, project meant the rice sitting next to the bug was fried, not the bug itself)

Techsmurf is correct, and saurkraut can be meaner the fried rice.
As for the tubo 2.8, I will going on vacation in 2 wks and will pick up the turbo. Then the fun begins with routing, and no it will not be at the y pipe.
As for uncle bens rice, the realy riced out ricers cann achieve the highly coveted "Zatarans Jumbolia" status

I suppose you want to put the engine in the trunk too. WHAT EVER man!!! GET REAL!! why would you go to all the trouble for that obsolete straight six when a 3.4L or 350 swap would GIVE YOU SO MUCH MORE!!!!

If I just said what you did... I would be using complete sarcasm. Do you understand that the porsche puts out 400 Hp and about 450 ft-lbs of torque? **** man... that car would smoke you so bad you wouldn't know your *** from the pavement it had just met... Even if you hopped the 350 up to 600 Hp you'd still be grabbing your *** in pain!

BTW read all the posts under a topic in the future, you might have seen the word "hypothetically", maybe you should look it up in the dictionary... man what a dumbass...
