free camaro

This weekend i was at my neighbors autobody shop and i walked into his storage building and there was a car under a cover and i lifted the cover up and there was a 1985 chevy camaro sport coupe. I lifted the hood and there was a 2.8 mpfi, its an auto. its red with black interior. the driver side QP was smashed in the past and he started to fix it and never finished. Its almost complete. I went back and asked him about it and he said i could have it for free. I could not beleive it. Im going to give up my firebird progect and start on this. I'll send more info about it later.

I took a guy for a ride in my Firebird.
He has a 1991 Mustang 5.0 LX model.
He was quite impressed about the power that little 3.4 gave his butt in the passenger seat.
He was really stunned at the swap cost of the $800 investment, too.
And no, he couldn't tell it was the bigger 3.4 engine, by looking at my engine (he-he)
Stay with the 3.4 option!
It is a win-win situation.

Wow, that's great, a free f-body. Fix it up minor; sell it for a huge profit, buy another car, fix it up, sell it for more profit... etc, etc

How bad's the 1/4? They make kits now where you can rivet replacement panels in, and not weld. You could do fiberglass, and re-create the 1/4 panel (by using the passenger side as a guide). Welding would be a bit of a problem on that side since the gas tank filler neck and pressure vent are on the driver's side...
