Rice alert.

I know this isn't tech but I need to rant. I just wish I had a digital camera because you would not believe what I saw today.
It was a late 80ish firebird V8. With the top painted yellow and the bottom painted purple. Gold tented windows and 20" gold spoked rims. To beat it all it had Dual 4" tips out the back and it was lowered. I was so pissed off I wasnted to go smack the ****er in the head.
Then on the way into school today I saw a 98+ V6 camaro that had a Rainbow wing and farts cans on it to, the kicker was that it also had 5 counted them 5 TypeR stickers, including one that went across the top of the windshield.
Please for the love of *** dont ever let anyone you know do this to these cars.

don't you know that the Tipe R stickers are worth 5hp to those who buy them?, there is a "riced" out neon here, but with dodge stickers. As far as the R sticker on the windshield.....maybe they failed romper room & are RIF impaired, caint spel RS?

Some might like that flash, Personally I would die if that was my car, but they did it for some reason so they must like it.

The best way to tell is to jack the car up and rotate one of the tires forward. If the other tire tunrs the other way... it a posi.

I have to tell you I've seen a Chevy Cavalier, late model, it was white, with blue graphics and asian lettering!! Clear corners, the loud tail pipes, the whole 9 yards!! And it just sickened me because it was a Chevy!!

OK, I'm going out right now, get one of those civic se models, and slap some GTO stickers on the front, some "ROCKET" on the doors, 'cuda on the back, and a big sticker on the back windshield that says "Made in america....north, central , or south. Take your pick"

what gear should the trany be in when checking?

This is incorrect, you've got it backwards... if it the other tire rotates in the oposite direction then it's an open differential or a really ****ed up posi... they should turn in the same direction if it's posi...

Edit: it doesn't matter if it's in 1st, 2nd, Neutral or Reverse... its all the same. Just thinking again (hate it when that happens) Take a seat in your car, lift the lid of your center console and copy down the RPO codes... enter them into the RPO decoder on this site and it will tell you almost everything... a couple codes don't run, but it will tell you about the rear end.

I don't seem to catch what you're saying... I also just realized that the RPO decoder will tell you everything except if it's posi or not... so you'll have to test it...

I do think that domestic owners are getting infected with the rice syndrome... The worst jobs in town are:
Chevy Cavalier, turquois with white wave from side skirts up, no gfx on front or rear, just side... all badges removed, stock hub caps.

Dodge Neon sport, black w/ chrome trim all over the place, big dodge emblem on rear windshield. (beat his *** in front of his friends)

Ford Probe, high eclipse style spoiler that is 10" too short across, chrome trim on wheel wells and dual 12" subwoofers...

if you think thats bad listen to this. Their is a brand new 2001 ws6 ram air running around my area with the top painted yellow the bottom painted blue, stickers all over it and the ugliest spoiler you have ever seen. Makes me sick when someone does that to a car thats looks great from the factory.

Kyle, he's right...if it turns in the OPPOSITE direction, it's an open differential. If it turns in the same direction, it's a positrack.

LOL hey that is kinda weird.
Um 0-60??????? No specific time but seem to be consistent with the factory spec of 5.5sec.
1/4 mile times not sure have not taken it to the track, but I can say that it kicked the **** out of a modified LT1. Factory claims 13.5 sec.

To the person who posted about the Neon with a dodge sticker on it... Neons were originally made under the Dodge name, then they switched to Plymouth.. don't ask me why...

Different taste for different people. If they like it leave them alone. Personally I would hate it...but then again it isnt my car. Try not to be so judgemental

just reserving my right to pick on people, specially before I put that big ol' firechiken on my rear windshield.

And that neon w/the dodge sticker on it, well it was as big as the rear windshield, just to make sure rear visability was impaired

It was actually a Dodge neon... not plymouth so it must have been an earlier model... but yeah, it was covering the whole rear windsheild...

Actually both plymouth and dodge both had neons at the same time up untill they killed the plymouth name. Its a shame, before plymouth had some muscle cars, now its all gone. Why are auto manufacturers killing all the good cars?

Its amazing what you can see nowadays when you go to the street races. Not that I do go lol
