1982 Firebird V6 EFE
Would anyone know where I could get a wiring diagram for the EFE in the 2.8L engine. I believe that the V6 was the only engine to use the ceramic heater under the Carb. I traced the wires on mine and some previous owner has removed the relay that powers the heater from the firewall. I have looked in the Haynes manual but that has no diagrams of the EFE heater.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have the 82' firebird factory service manual on my lap, i think I may be able to help you out. Tell me if you need me to get more of the diagram, to the left or right or what not. Hope that helps!

Hi am_man,
I found the first link below that has a service manual for $23. I can't see a picture of it. So I don't know if it is the same as what you have. They want $110 to mail this to Ireland but it is $7 mailing if you live in the USA. I hate getting screwed for shipping!
What does your service manual look like. Is it like shown on the second link below.
Thanks.

Id remove the carb before you hook it back up, often once they fry out folks don't fix it and often they gutted the thing for better air flow.
was a goofy idea, not really needed unless it get ubar cold.
-----------
my S15 has one and I already have it planned for removal and then rework the area for better air flow. It doens't line up well at all with things, so they could fit that goofy heater in there. A monkey could see its not gonna flow well at all.

Yes it worked as its glows red hot and used lots of juice, but the airflow and bad designed of that passage doesn't make taking a few min to warm it up before you leave that big a deal.
once the carb is off you will see how hokey it is.

Okay, will take a look at it when I have the Carb off.
Another thing I see that is used on the 2.8L is an anti-backfire (gulp) valve. This is something I can't find on the engine. Think it is suppose to connect to the intake manifold but can't see it. I have been looking at this emissions stuff for over a week and am only getting more confussed.
