Does 350 sound too much for a set of injectors? High Implendance 24Lb hr and can support 260-335HP by themselves... NOS part number 922-2406... just looking for opinions and see if there is any interest. They say that they are within 3 percent flow of each other.

 

Now why do you need them? Have you got nitrous?

 

No I do not have Nitro yet. But these are replacement PERFOMRANCE FUEL injectors. ....
They just seem to be able to handle the performance that you would want to throw at them. Ie the impending turbo kit... cams, free flow work... more fuel delievery means that you can do more to free up the flow to get more air.

 

NITROUS Get it right Nitro=nitromethane (fuel.) Just a helpful hint from your local perfectionist

I do think we all kow what I am talking about. I call it either nos or nitro not nitrousoxide... too long.

Dude, if you NEED the injectors get them. But if you dont have the mods NOW to back it up then its a waste of money. Do the mods first then get these NOS injectors you want.

Yeah, put 24lb injectors on a stock V6, then wonder why your car dies at idle and runs like crap, not to mention you'd be getting the worst mpg of any car on the road.

 

Dew you are a troll in my opinion. If you knew anything abut fuel injection you would know the you can have 100LB Hr injectors and it would not make a bit of differance. The PULSE that controls how long the injector sprays will shorten if the O2 sensor reads rich. DUH... I will not get any different MPG with 24 or even 36 LB HR injectors over our pathetic little stockers. All that would happen would be that the Pulse that keeps the injector spraying will shorten, Hense less fuel injected but at a higher pressure, increasing the atomasation effect. Now what it will be able to do is more then handle any forced induction(Which I am working on) and NOS systems.

 

Anyone that says "nitro" when they mean "nitrous" should be corrected; it's a good way to sound like an idiot. Wasn't there a guy here a while ago that called himself NitroFbird? (grins)

And Drew's right; swapping out to fuel injectors that flow too much WILL hurt performance. Just go ask the TPI guys! It's like putting a 2000 CFM throttle body on a stock TPI- you'll hurt performance.

whatever tom. Thats why theres several guys in here running 24 LB injectors now right?... And I went ahead and asked NOS about the injectors and they pretty much said the same thing I did. Pulse controls the fuel. which is controlled by comp, which gets info by the O2. Rich it shortens, lean it gets longer.

I had 21 lb injectors and didnt do crap MPG wise.. and it ran perfectly fine. Poundage wise is just the max flow POTENTIAL.. not constant output. You CAN have 100lb injectors but just as long as the computer is telling it to dump all that gas in, it wont. with 23 lb injectors, it will have the potential to flow that much unless: A custom prom is burned telling the injectors to flow that much more all the time, or there is something wrong with the computer and its not controlling the injectors properly.
