OH YEAAAA, almost forgot. iv been hearing things about this mystical seafoam so i got some today. Iv seen videos to run it in EVERYTHING. oil,gas,breaks. says it cleans all of everything. video on youtube show befoer and after and it seems to do some magic...i got a can shooooot why not. lol any experiance with this shtuff and what do you think about it?

guess what..you dont wanna knowhow they replaced the fuel sending unit in the gas tank....insted of NOT being lazy and droping the tank they fricken ripped up the carpet in the trunk hump, looks like they cut a giant fricken hole and slapped the pump in. i mean it will be easy to replace if i ever need to but it looks like craaaaaap lol..ill post pics tomorow..man..kids these days...ur only 17?

lol so i could wait the week for new injectors so i sprang for some from the parts store. also got some new bosch plugs and wires and a new airfilter..shes runnin like a champ booooys lol thanks yalll for all the help! im sure im counting my chicken before thet hatch because i havnt taken it for a road test yet. i will be doing that once the sun goes down ttyl buds

 

lol seems like are v6 always have problems with the injectors after standing a long time.. lol glad to hear man!! oh and btw be carefull when at stops if its hot lol, when im in first gear leaving a stop im used to pusing the pedal and all you hear is the rubber burn and see tracks :0

 

well ill tell ya brother..that lil v6 is alot of fun. not a whooole lot of power put it will kick that ace end around pretty nice....oh yea nd btw the seafoam is awsome. made it idle like a baby, sound better, dont know if it gave anymore power cuz i didnt realy drive it before the seafoam. but it did help the idle out alot.

 

how do i use seafoam? and how much does it cost??

 

cosr 10 bucks. you can put it in ur gas like gas treatment or in your oil, or through a vac. tube for your intake. it cleans all..i used it in my oil and gas. when you put it in the intake vac. line u need to use the right one. when used correctly it burns out the carbon build up. your car will smoke white like crazy out the exhause and your exahust manifolds will ehat up real hot. ie. to burn out the carbon and shtuff...idk..it worked for me,.

well i went to reigister the old girl and come to find out i needed the title noterized...FML...but i decided to beat around town anyways. drove real nice a little strange like...jolt when i hit the gas in 5th...feels like suin loose in the body or suspention...but on the way home its started throwin codes

did seem to drive any differant after the light came on.
BUT after you rev it in while not in gear or with the clutch in, it stays revved for a second and slowly ceeeeeps aback down to idle RPM..

i know god had me buy that EGR valve for something..lol just so happen to have a new one on hand but according so some sites it could also be a vac line leak somewhere...so ill ruin ththough them and check um too.

 

Wow throwing alot of codes.. Check all the vac lines well, they can get cracked over time and leak.

So you do have a egr? If you or you know anyone that needs one, I have a basically brand new one along with my stock MAP sensor. Just in case.

ok, btw my car is running a little rough lately. It seems to like..buck right after i **** gears. at low RPMs. any thoughts? no codes.

after what? give me a example, does it seem to want to turn off when just idleing? or when your in 1st and push gas it sortof "kicks" then then you let go it "kicks"?

 

its ideling a liiiiitle rough. not bad though. and i still have the problem of when i push in the clutch to mash the gas its stayed at high RPM for a sec and sloooowly goes back to idle speed. and as far as the bucking its after i let of the clutch and press the gas it kinda bucks a bit.

 

yea mine does this at times: im in third gear and shift the rpms shoot up a bit and then go down, idk if this is what you mean? and i know what you mean of when you push the gas, try this, before you let go the clutch push gas to about 1500 rpms and let off the clutch to do a smooth takeoff, if you take off my just slowly letting off clutch and pusihng gas at the same time it tends to kick like that

 

its hard for me to be easy with the clitch/gas play because my gas pedel is a little bit hard to push for some reason...idk why, wasnt taht way befor i unhooked the throttle to take the intake off. but when i look at it i dont see anything obviously wrong...idk ill take a closer look at it tommorow.

Make sure nothings holding that throttle cable up and that its not bent at the TB where that cable connects

 

couldnt find anything wrong with the throttle cable. so i decided my car need something....so i had my wife gimme some of my money to get me a niiice glasspack
so i cut the exhaust where it 90s by the tire and goes into the stock muffeler, it was a 1 exhaust pipe into 2 out of the muffeler set up. i hooked the glass pack up right after the 90, thrush baby. and then after the glasspack i added 21 in of straight pipe and dumped it out behind the driver rear tire. i also picked up a chevy symbol shaped exhaust tip. so in the end my car sounds like a fricken JET getting ready for take off when i rev it...fricken amaaaazing. lol the low bumpy growel make sit sounds like so much more than a 3.1. its 8:30 here and my son is in bed so i couldnt get on it to much, but tommorow morning is a road test. wootwoot. ill make a video

And watching that video definately game me a sign that my cars clutch is not in good shape lol, no more burnouts while the wifes in the car man, lord knows the worst thing that can happen is ur wife throwing a temper tandrum and punching the window or something lol. yea man looks nice/ how did u do the paint job?? looks CLEAN, just gotta fix the hood latch now

 

how do you reulize ur clutch is no good? and yea that was wheel chirp into 2nd and 3rd lol double clutchin ftw. and the paintjob came out fricken emaculent for being 97cent spray paint from wallmart hahaha. i just took my time. the striped i taped off and painted with primer/paint in 1..and that was only 7 bucks a can. lol

 

lol nice, will the paint last though?? oh and as for the clutch, ive been having problems with it for a while, im thinking oil is getting into it and messing my shifts up.

 

oh and as to test it there is alot of ways. there are also many things that cvan be wrong with it, i tested for it to see if it was slipping bad by putting the E-Brake on puting car in 5th gear and letting go clutch while puting a pinky toe of gas. it should die right away, if it goes somewhat or stalls for a bit or nothing, meand your clutch is bad. dont do this alot though because it WILL burn your clutch out lol just a quick test

On my turbo thread on this board, i did a rough write up of what I spent. It was like 700 bucks or so(IIRC). I got some of the items over time since its a large amount of $$ but its a TON less $$ and time involved then a motor swap in my mind. And its really fun now!!

You can cut corners a bit but still its not that exspenceive and i wouldnt sugest cutting corners when it comes to your cars safety.
