cool video man, yea deff get rid of that box if you wanna go faster. i also took some weight off. my airbag got deployed so it was of no use so i took out the thing in thte middle of the steering wheel. i **** you not it weight prolly 20 pounds lol i also took out the windsheild washer resivor cuz it didnt spray and it was full of bug fluid so thats 10 pounds or so, and replacing the stock muffeler and duel out system for the single glasspask out the side took off a good chunk of weight. did you say it was pulling to the right when you where breaking? i would say that is your passenger side front break is catching more than the driver side. just get some new pads and that should help. my wheel has a min of its own sence i took a few parts out when i pulled the igniton tumbeler. so ill be driving straight one min with a nomral wheel then the wheel will be upside down haha...idk..you will have to take a video with better sound so that i can hear your motor and such while you driving.

 

I decided to stop being lazy and finaly paint my rims. It took me about an hour to tape um up and actualy paint um. DONT be to critical remember im no pro...lol

damn man! looks really Clean! come paint my car now lol. well i found out why mar car is making weird noises and not pushing so good, i had no oil in the car,, and i just put a quart in it almost a week ago,, and i know where its leaking from. ****! well hopefuully i take it soon because its killing my car. between the tranny and the eninne is where the oil is getting out through. i will take a pic. also problabl why it kicks at times and shifts arent too good, ill post it in my forum!

Greencamaro... find the leak bro!! If your leaking that much, it shouldnt be hard to find. And low on oil is NOT a good thing when your motor starts to wana go bang...lol

 

for sure man, i was driving and all you hear is the engine sounding like it had a bad head gasket but it was not that, it was just low on oil. i then put oil in it and whala, it was gone and the oil was back up to 80, instead of the 20

 

Keep a eye one that oil pressure, while crusing it should never go below 40 or so Psi, and it will go up to 60-80 at wide open throttle.

Thats alot of oil to loose. How much did you put back in it to get the dip stick to be right??

Yea thats normal bro, the pressure will definitly go up as the rpms do. 30-60Psi is the normal range(IIRC) for these V6's.

Mines arround 30-40Psi at idle and closer to 80Psi when im wide open throttle.

Pop the clutch and get the tires going and immediatly push the brake if you wana sit in place doing a bunout.

About the oil....just keep a eye on the level! 20Psi of oil pressure while driving is def. not good. Try to find the leak, shouldnt be too hard with that amount of oil loss.

 

sounds good. imma try that today lol. so i decided to ditch the bungys and gorlia tape holding my bumper up (z28 bumper dosnt fit on a RS) kid gave it to me when i got the car. kim aaalmost done customixing it to hold it self on there. a few more screws and then i gottsa rig up the turn signals WITHOUT tape lol..ill take a pic when im all done. i also gotta finish my rims today and project 91rs will be nearing compleation. lol

Porting and polishing those heads is a good free mod.

ok apprently im stupid. lol what kind of gear oil should i put in this tranny and how much?

 

I cant say for sure the gain on the porting of the heads by itself, But I ported my heads and added a mild cam and im sure I gained 15-20Hp. Thats a crap load when you only have 140Hp stock. When I did the cam and head work, I spent about 250 Bucks in all the gaskets springs, cams. So thats pretty cheep in my mind.

DONT put gear oil in your tranny!! You put tranny fluid(oil) in there. Its RED. The 83-87 T5's "recommend" gear oil for fluid, while the 88-92 T5's "recommend" ATF (automatic tranny fluid) I would think ATF in all t-5 trannys personally.

The only place youll be putting gear oil is in the rear end. Which I used 80W gear oil when I changed my oil last year. Non-synthetic stuff.

i CANTNOT shift into 3rd unless i go up from 2nd...no prob from 2-3 but from x-3 downshift it dosnt go in. gotta hit second first. and first it gettin a little hard to shift into while driving. gotta put a litle presure on it. and 5th goes into gear but aaalways dose a little grinding while going into gearl, any thoughts?

 

Check the tranny oil level?
Does your clutch slip/stink when you go wide open throttle?
Is any motor oil leaking into the clutch area??

Syncro might be a little outa wack. I blew alot of "doggy gears" in a past mustang. Im no genious at manuals. My brother was the person who constantly fixed my 3rd gear in my mustang i use to have since I blew that gear out every few months. He lives in florida though.

 

clutch dosnt burn. idk if oil is gettin in there or not? how would i know, and i also dont know hoe to check the tranny fluid lvl..lol

 

right hand side of tranny, top plug remove and insert your first joint of your finger. if you have oil on the tip of finger it is okay. and do not remove the plug on the left side at the top or you will have to remove tranny and have it fixed.

And make sure you check it on the passenger side, not the drivers' side; the plugs on the driver side aren't for filling or checking

Sorry I cant really help much, im no good at auto/or manual tranny troubleshooting..

Now im having a new problem though. my head lights on my driver side were weak as crap, i had only the high beams on the outside. the bumper i can with a set of lowbeams. they didnt work for crap. or so i thought .turn out after i bought new high beams today that the no matter what order or mix of headlights i use the driver side lights arent bright? its like ther enot getting enough power or something...any idaes?

 

so your highlights dont work? or what lights?

and do you mean the lights behind the speedoometer? or the front beams

 

You might need to reaim your headlights.

If you pull up next to a wall or garage at night youll see if they are both aimed the same. If not there are screws that you can adjust to make the lights either aimed up or down.

 

no i meant the actualy hradlightgs, they dont need to be aimed. its like there no power going to them. they are SOOO dim on the driver side but that passenger lights are plent strong...

 

Check the wiring? Mabey a bad connection at either the plug on the back of the light itself or somewhere else.

ok so that worked. unlike on the passenger side, on the driver side there are 2 grounds. one was unhooked. and my side marker light on the driver side was also unhooked. so i hooked up the ground wire and pluged the side marker back in, and low and behold, GREAT SUCCESS lol thanks bud
