92 3.1L Manual trans RS Surge and Stumble issues
I have a 92 3.1L Camaro with a manual trans here that is completely stumping me. It runs and drives great when it is first fired up, then when it is completely up to operating temperature, it begins to buck and surge drastically on acceleration and cruise, you can actually drive the car in 3rd or 4th at 45 mph and go wide open and not accelerate AT ALL. I have checked the coil primary and secondary resistance, the map sensor, the IAC and the TPS sensor. The fuel pressure is ~43psi at idle with the vacuum line off, and the car has a brand new fuel pump installed. I'm thinking bad injectors, but thought I would pop in here and get a few ideas and opinions.

Wouldnt hurt to take the injectors out and OHM them.

You're looking for an injector resistance of MORE than 11.8 ohms... Any injector lower automatically gets tossed (GM spec from 1992 FSM), and no more than 10% difference between the highest resistance and the lowest.

I wouldn't say they're no good above 12.5 ohms... Most of the good ones I've tested (that were actually good and didn't leak or weren't clogged) averaged about 12.6+ .
Re: 92 3.1L Manual trans RS Surge and Stumble issues
Tested them, they all ended up between 12.5-12.7. I DID find the problem though...injector wiring for #5 had a big, nasty cut in it, well more like a shred, no contact at all. fixed it up good by soldering and heat shrink wrapping it, runs like a champ! Thanks guys for the help! I have a lot of 3rd Gens on my schedule in the next few weeks, so I'll be sure to be popping in with more questions.
