Oil Pressure at filter but no oil coming out to rockers
No oil coming up to rockers i think i got a plugged port or something. I start the car up and then the engine oil pressure gauge creeps up past 80 but i know its not the sending unit because it don't peg over when its not running. If it had no Oil pressure it would have turned a rod or a main in just a few moments. But ive ran it about 15 min This way not knowing nothing was going to the rockers.
Little info on it Car has sit for a very long time. Just brought it back to life.
Saw gauge was doing a funny little thing when i got it running. Looked to see if i had oil at the pushrods and got nothing.

FYI, the oiling system in the V6 is backwards... Cam is lubed before the crank.
The cam will lock/snap/wipe lobes long before the crank goes bad. Which is one of the reasons for the TSB on the mid-90s cars with the plastic intake gaskets... The gaskets leak, the coolant thins the oil, and the cam generally snaps. Which means I have yet to figure out why my #4 con rod bearing spun in the 2.8 because the cam was fine
.
Reminds me I need to get a replacement pair of LIM gaskets

so far you have found the fuel and oil system plugged up with gunk, id take a close look at other system before you drive to far from home

Re: Oil Pressure at filter but no oil coming out to rockers

At the very least, I would change ALL of the fluids and ALL of the filters. And be prepared to possibly shell out for hoses (brake, coolant, etc), heater core, water pump and radiator (you never know how old the coolant is, and one component of coolant is water, so... Plus, you never know how clogged the heater core and radiator are until problems arise). And possibly new intake gaskets (if you haven't already replaced the valve cover gaskets when you pulled the covers off) since they're probably dry-rotted (depending on how long the car has sat).
And also remove the wiper arms and cowl screen and flush that area pretty good to find out what is in there. You never know what could have gotten in and made nests. Plus you may find rust
