V6 3.1 Throttle Position Sensor Gasket
Hey Guys,
I need help in finding the right replacement for the TPS Gasket. As far as I can see, it's leaking, and I want to replace it. Now I looked for "firebird 3.1 v6 tps gasket" but can't seem to find anyhting about that. I have a picture attached.
regards

There isn't a gasket for the TPS, it mounts over the end of the throttle shaft. A dry area.

Hi Rbob, thanks, but I could see the gasket, after I removed the TPS. I forgot to take a picture. It looks like a sponge rubber O-ring.
Do you have an image showing the TPS location from a 3.1 V6?

Lt1 uses a sponge . But if you have a major vacuum leak there might look for a used Throttlebody. Even new the shaft to housing had slight leaks.

If you look on rock auto looks like same part number for lt1 and 3.1 tps. I just don’t think it’s a item sold separately.

What is the orange 'stuff' leaking out from behind the TPS?
I guess this isn't really a Firebird 3.1l engine?
RBob.

Thats a sponge rubber gasket, sitting right behind the TPS. As far as I can tell its a T-Code V6 Engine with 3.1 Liter in a Firebird from 1990. I can take some fotos afterwards. I know that the 2.8 litre engines have a different throttle-body.
