Car: 13 Ram 1500/ 78 Formy
Engine: 5.7 / 7.4
Transmission: 6sp / TH350
Axle/Gears: 3.55 posi / 3.23
Remote hatch switch
Anybody else NOT have this?
was thinking of doing the jc whitney thing with it.

I wrote the tech artical here... so yeah i've added it... For an 85 though the tech artical probably won't apply since you don't have the hatch pulldown. Chances are the correct parts to convert your car aren't available anymore from the dealers, so I'd suggest junkyards. Aftermarket setups might work, but I haven't messed with them.

yeah, I remember reading that article. only thight the caddies had the power trunks.
don't remember if any of the donor 'birds have the stuff, since I thought mine had it. will hae to look some time.

Its not hard. I did this 12 years ago on my 1990. I order the solenoid, Switch panel and switch for the hatch and ran one wire to the front. On the 1990 cars they had a wiring plug for the switch and had to add the wire to the switch. not sure about the reset (< 1989). But it shouldn't be hard to hookup.

EHHEH I found that pretty funny my self.
All though most pepole find this site by doing a search on yahoo and get linked directly to the messages boards and don't know about the wealth of info on the main page. Go to www.thirdgen.org and look around. There is crap load of info.
