Ok here's the prob, My uncle fixed my flywheel, It runs. Now.......When I rev the car, You can put your hand on top of the air cleaners when the hose is on and you can feel something like hit your hand really loud, It's right where the two air inlets connect into one, My uncle is thinking that it's out of time, It's at 17 degrees and it's supposed to be from 10-12, Now he is having a hard time loosening the distributor cap, How does he do this??? This is so we can put it in time. Thanks guys!

The thudding noise; is it more on the air cleaner, or the tube between the throttle body and air cleaner? Do you feel anything if you put your hand on that tube? The thump should be more prevalent there. Also, do you know about the EST bypass connector? Check your plugs, too; if timing's advanced too far, you get detonation, which can blow your plugs apart and hurt the pistons. My timing was so far advanced, once, that it destroyed my #1 spark plug! The center electrode was gone; there was just a hole there.

How is the tube between the air box (the whole box, including the "y" top, is called the "dual-snorkel intake") and the throttle body?
Have you revv'd the motor with the TB hose detached from the throttle body? You'll probably set error code 34, since air flow won't be going thru the MAF, but that's okay. With the hose unhooked, the car will start & stall once, then it should start okay. I'm thinking you've got a backfire thru the TB, and it's "stopping" at the air filters, which are in the way between the backfire and "open air". If this is the case, your MAF is probably destroyed, too.

Re:
I changed it, It isn't my MAF. It knocks on ur hand right below where the Mass Air Flow Sensor is. So tomorrow we're checking out the part that has the throttle sensor on it. It's a whole piece. While I am at it, I am probably gonna get new plugs and wires. But we can't get the distributor bolt loosened. 9/16 is too small and 5/8 is too big, We're thinking it's metric, We even used that L shaped wrench, Didn't work, Email me at Heckman_R@msn.com.
