One of the happiest days of my life!

Hey guys, Today I drove my camaro for the first time. It was so cool, I'm still on my permit so I had to drive with my mom in the car, but thats only till April 30 when I go for my road test. I was surprised how loud it actually is....it sounds awesome! I picked my lil bro up at school and all the kids at his school were like oh man, that car is cool!......haha. I also got a few compliments on it at the gas station, everybody liked it. Well, I just wanted to share my happiness

Later guys...............Happy driving!

Yep, I get that all the time...

I know of 3 gas station attendants that want to buy my car, and just about all my friends want it too (except those that already have thirdgens)...

Wonderful feeling 'eh?

Good deal! Now just learn how to drive (no offense meant), and don't wreck the thing! Do some donuts in a parking lot next time it rains to get the "feel" of the car in the wet. And don't do any crazy maneuvers when racing- hell, don't race at all.

When I used to race, if the guy I was racing cut some cars off really closely, I'd stop. No way I was going to have some maniac cause an accident. The racetrack's the best place- plus, you get actual NUMBERS and a TIMESLIP to talk about! That's proof!

congrats on the car,
yeh i love pulling up and getting stares from people who like it, and what's best are the people who are willing to tell you right out. What's really odd are the people that like the car, normally people around 15-16 who are waiting to drive, some others that have their licenses and whatnot, and then older people such as 50-60-65 y.o. normally men, probably because 20 years ago they wanted to buy one of them too....Oh and yeh, dont race, when i got my car my first impulse was to highway race, ended up racing my friend 2.8L equipped firebird everyday after school, see who could reach from one part of the Highway to a connecting highway first....we had cut off many cars, had some trucker get pissed at me once and ended up cutting my little thirdgen off after my buddy cut him off. real mess and definately not worth it, wayyyyyyyy to much stuff can go wrong so quick and in traffic what can ya do about it? NOTHIN...whoa, sorry bout that, we all do things like that when we're young, just watch out, and do like Tom said, learn to drive. The third gens can be more fun than any other car (minus ferrari) in handeling but if you can't handle the car the car will end you. and nothign worse than a person who thinks they can drive but can't drive, i've learned how to drive mine over 4 years and it still does some things that scare the hell outta me. good luck man, and party hard.

Hey guys, Well now i'm gettin use to it and I notice theres a miss in it at like 2000 RPM, so I ordered new wires from Summit Racing and i'll probably pickup a new cap this week. The car handles great!, a little better then my moms suburban which i've been driving....haha. I've been driving it really careful because first> I don't want to crash it and second> its been sitting since August and I want things to get used to running again and to losen up. I love the sound of it, my mom gets mad at me because whenever I see friends I put the car in nuetral and rev it....haha, the muffler must be rusted out, but the sound is great, so i'm not gonna replace it now at least. I have an old pic thats not all that clear that i'll try to post, I post new good pics when i can though.

Congrats on the car man! My car was my first car as well. I learned on my car from day one of my driving experience. When I went to take my drivers test it got canceled three times before I got to actually take it. Due to it was December... But eventually I did get to go, and passed the first time.

One of things my dad did was take me out in a parking lot with maybe 1/2" of snow or so and let me see how the car handled and showed me how to handle the car. That helped a lot, not only in the winters here but also in the rain the car can act the same way. Not many 3rd gens around here besides myself, not ONE in my whole student body this year. Last year there was a guy with a 1987 IROC that was pretty nice. But other then that, I've been the lonesome thirdgen! (Kinda kewl though, no one else has one!!)

Be careful with her, and she'll take care of you =o) I've grown such a love for cars ever since I started driving. It's an incredible feeling behind the wheel... Only "certain" things compare to that feeling... lol! I'd love to see some pictures!
