Some pics...

Figured someone here might get a kick out of some pics of the beater... Just finished doing the headliner, and swapping most of the interior to black. I still need some black carpet, and some used black doorpanels... everything else thats missing in the pics is actually in boxes, I don't see any reason to put them in the car since its just going to sit in storage for a couple more weeks.

And a little tech tip... When dealing with any difficult to remove bolt, chase the threads with a tap before trying to run the bolt back in.

Sweet color. Or maybe I am just partial.

Those seats look great in that car.

Every single one of the seat belt bolts into the ceiling needed to be re tapped. Luckly the thread is the same as TPI bolts so I already had the tap on hand.

Another tech tip... Bolt extractors dont.

The seats actually looked really bad with the gray interior... I'm much happier with how they look with black trim. The big change was that I changed most all the gray interior parts to black, including all the plastic, door handles, cupholders, seat belts, headliner, sunvisors, etc... The headliner and sunvisors were done by me, the rest of the parts came out of junkyard cars.

Also the 91-92 seat belt guides put the seatbelts where they should be, with the 84-90 style I had before the belts crossed my neck (annoying).

Now I've just sell off my leftover gray parts, and get some tires and carpet, and doorpanels. Anyone need seat belts or various gray panels?

actually depending on how much of the interior has survived from my 91 T Top I might take it all Drew! I have to go out to the shed and take a look. I know I need a carpet... still not sure about the door panels.. I need 1, so I might just custom fiberglass 'em....

Drew what kinda condition is the carpet in? I need some cause mine looks horrible. If I took the door panels would I get the power locks and stuff? I like the 91 look better than the 89 look. Prices too please.
Thanx

The tap is a 8 x 1.25.

The carpet is shot, the door panels will stay with the car till I find a set in black or black w/ gray. When I do sell the doorpanels it will be jsut the bare door panels, the top trim will probably go on the new set. If I've got to make my own the black metal trim will come off too. I'll take some pics of what needs to go today... I've got a pile of seat belts that I really just want gone... a decent set of gray 91 armrests, they aren't all warped and junk like most of them. And a decent set of gray cupholders, one of which is new from GM and needs to be painted to match, and the other has a small 1/2" long crack in the upper edge, I've also got a set of new gray trim caps for them. Those are the ones that I have handy that really need to go, cause they're taking up space in the tiny room I live in. I've also got all the gray panels from the rear of the car except the drivers side panel with the glovebox. So I've got the rear panel with notches for ttop clips, the spare tire/jack cover, the passengers side panel, both rear armrest panels, and the headliner trim panel.

If anyone needs any of what I listed, shoot me an email. I'll also do trades if anyone has the parts I need...

The seats are from a 95 Formula. They've been in the car since a week after we bought it, and I've been trying to sell them almost as long.

the car is a beater... its got a serious flaking paint problem, lots of door dings and the like, etc... I should have let the salvage yard scrap it, but at least now its a decent car. I could try to list the parts I've replaced, but it'd take me half an hour and I can't remember most of what i've done. Needless to say I've replaced or repaired just about every part of the car. The only thing I haven't had apart is the engines long block.

Its future is a 350TPI, and pretty much replacing every part except the chassis.
