92 Z28 rims?

Right now I have 245/60/16. (On rear, I don't know about front)

Can I go any larger without any complications? What's the widest front and widest rear I can go on these rims?

I also know about my speedo being off, it's already off.

well I just searched tire rack and they have no such size...I have never heard of that either

 

i used to have 245 60 14's on my TA those were a good tire but they are discontinued now hard to get.

Usually I thought 245/55/16 is the correct tire, but I may be wrong. That was the tires i had on my GTA wheels. I have also used 255/50r/16 on the rears with no problems

 

245/50/16 is correct. Some 305 5 speed 91-92 Z28s had 235/55/16

255/50/16 is no problem., like you said

 

no i checked and they are 245/60/16.

We called 5 places and nobody has this tire. There is a 245/70/16 I can put on but that would make the car look weird.

 

ive seen a guy on here that blasted some 275s on his 15x8

 

If your wheels are the stock 16" x 8"....You got a pic?......you can fit a BFG 295/50/16 on the rears.

For a street tire, thesizes jmp from 255s to the BFG 295, & 295s won't fit the front.

So...widest possible, for the stock 16" x 8" wheels is....
255/50R16 front
295/50R16 rear

So 255s are the widest front, and 295s are the widest rear?

If this is all right and I won't have any hassles putting these wheels on, I'm gonna do it.

 

No problem with the pic. It shows what wheel it is, so that's good.

For STREET tires, yes....255/50 front, 295/50 rear

I'm running 275s front, but on 17" Snypers. No 275s are made (street tread) in a 16 size.

For RACE compound, auocross tires, I think there are some 265s & 275s, despite being street "legal", but they won't last for many miles on the street.

And the only STREET tire bigger than a 255, is the BFG 295/50

OK...But remember...You didn't ask how EASY...or how STREETABLE, just the LARGEST......

That being said.....18x11, front & rear, is the largest I've seen. 22" & such diameter I don't even consider.

19" is OK, IMO, 18" is JUST RIGHT!

 

18 is definitely the largest I would go up front.
