Wheel Adapters front 18x9.5 with 45mm offsets
I have the new Ruff 281 rims with 18x9.5" offset 45mm rims. I will run with 275/35/18 tires up front. Also I have the C6 calipers six pistons brakes on my 1988 Camaro.
I am wondering what size adapters I will need to make the wheel in as much as possible without sticking out the front fenders.
I was told to use 1.7" adapters and possible could go with 1.5" adapters. I really want it to go in as much as possible without any rubbing or out the fenders. Does anyone know of what size adapters and also any of you have 45mm offset with wide tires up front?
Please let me know, thanks.

I have some 2" Spacers that would work perfect for that setup. Would probably put the wheel just inside the front fender lip. 1.7" would be perfect though honstly. $75 plus shipping and the 2" spacers are yours.
Thanks

Thanks, I forgot to mention one thing. My car is already lowered and wouldnt want to have the tires touching the fenders. I would rather go with the smaller adapters. Thanks again.

45mm is right at 1 3/4"...
stock offset is 0 for the front.
My 18x9s on the front are 0 offset.
I would get atleast 1 3/4" or 1.75 but definitelt NOT more than 2"...
I did alot of paper planning when I got my wheels. I wanted to make sure the profile of the car stayed the same from the side, and planned out my offset for the 18x10s on the rear.
stock offset is 0 for the front.
My 18x9s on the front are 0 offset.

For the rear, I am going to put 18x11" that I just got my rims widden to 18x11". So I am not sure what size adapters I will need for the rear. I dont know what the offsets would be. The rims before were 18x9.5" with 45mm offsets after I got it widden to 18x11". I will put 315/30/18 tires for the rear and will do some hammering to the inner fenders. Can't have it sticking out of the fenders since my car is lowered.
Your rear tires looks like 315's? Am I correct? It is inside or inline with the fenders?
Thanks.

Re: Wheel Adapters front 18x9.5 with 45mm offsets
The wheels are ROH Drift Rs powder coated solid black. I am running the 4th gen offset 18x10 wheel in back with 295/35-18s and the 3rd gen 18x9 offset in front which is zero with 265/35-18s. I chose the 4th gen offset for the back because the third gen one they offered stick out too far. I ended up going with a 1 1/4" adapter for the rear and no adapter needed for the front. On the rear I had to remove the bumpstops and cut off the bump stop mounts to get the wheels to tuck like I wanted. I still have about 1/2" to 3/4" space left between the tire and inner fender. The trouble spots for you will be at the front of the tire and back of the tire as well as the same bump stop problem. From the side, the wheels look even, and the extra width of wheel and tire is to the inside. I did alot of math to get the look I wanted. You just have to make sure you figure in the front at zero offset and the rear at the factory 14mm offset and then calculate all of it. If your wheel was 45mm then it is about 83mm now since they usually add the extra width to the inside of the wheel. I would also suggest rolling your fenders to prevent tire cutting. Without doing alot of math yet, I would start by saying maybe a 2 1/2" adapter for the rear, then you can atleast "test fit"... I order 1 1/2" for the rear at first but wasnt happy, so I bought the 1 1/4" and now its perfect. As soon as I get my new fender rolling tool, I am lowering the car a little more.

Thanks, just curious how did you get the calculation of "83mm offsets"? I try to figure it out couldn't get the results.
So for the front would be best to have 1.7" adapter for sure with 275's tires and without sticking out the fenders?
Thanks.

1.7 should be good... as for the rear, you added another 1 1/2" to the inside of the rim which increased the BS by 1 1/2" which is right at 38mm + the 45mm you already had.
