drag wheel pictures combos
I'm looking for some pictures of drag wheels. Anything that is staggered pretty much. I'm looking for something 15 inch, 8 or 10 inch wide in the back and 4 inch wide in the front. Anybody with summits pulsar wheels? Please put tire and wheel sizes too!!! thanks guys

check out this link for Bogart Wheels. I think if your going with the whole street racer look these are the wheels to slap on there. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...26tbs%3Disch:1 actually this chart explains sizes and B.S wheels are your choice...i like the "Savoy" model

But with a 16" rim, I can get an even wider rim - 9.5" with a 5.5" backset??
-Why wouldn't a 15" rim work then with a 5.0 or 5.5" backset and a wider rim and tire??

mine are 275/60/15 on a 15x8 wheel with 4.5bs. ive been told 5.5 is the most back spacing you can go with a 15inch wheel without mods

billet specialties street lites, 15x10, 6.5" backspacing. 15x4 fronts with a 165 kuhmo. i'm running a 275/60/15 mt et street radial:

the car is actually a bit lower in the front than in these pics as that was with the 5.7ls1 (aluminum) vs the 6.0l (iron) that's in the car now. i also am now running a 5/16" spacer between the hub and the wheel on the back, and it fills the fender abit better now. i'll get the car cleaned back up and get some more pictures.

Re: drag wheel pictures combos
can't imagine why it'd be a problem. i could see an adapator as being a problem, but a spacer that slides over 3" long arp studs...no issues yet.

Just put mine on today. 15x4 1.75 bs with Mickey 26x7.50 in front and 15x10 6.5 bs with Mickey 275/60/15 in back. Now I just need to fix my fender gaps with some lowering springs and i'm good to go.

Re: drag wheel pictures combos
They look great, but it doesn't help much if you don't tell everyone what the backspacing is on those wheels. I guarantee it's not a stock 4" backset on the rears...
EDIT: And for the guys running 6.5" backspacing, did you need to do any mods, or are the wheels "offset"?? Forget it...just saw 84Z's post....

Re: drag wheel pictures combos
sorry, thats 6.5" of backspacing, had to cut the first layer of metal and the bump stops. the material removed was on top of the upper inner fender with a grinder. didnt take long and its not as much work as people make it out to be

Re: drag wheel pictures combos
my bump stops are gone, and i have lots of inner fender "massaging". i also am running offset lca's. i'm going to cut a bit around the lca mount as well sometime when i decide to go to a bigger tire (want to run the new mt 295/55/15)

Re: drag wheel pictures combos
Hey how far offset are your lca's. Does somebody sell them or do you just move them yourself? It looks like I could take that lip on them, heat them up and pound it in to gain another quarter inch from the rim. idk, thats nice they offer that tire now(295 55 15) i think the next one up used to be a 295 65 15 which might have been too much sidewall for me

Re: drag wheel pictures combos
the 7.5" backspacing on a fourthgen rearend sits about in between where a 6.5 and a 5.5 sit on a thirdgen rear. it'd be like a 6" backspacing on a thirdgen rear i believe. it looks good if i remember correctly. try it!
