Wheel Adapters

I just bought some corvette spyders 18x9.5 for the front and 19x11 for the back. I was wondering what size wheel adapters I would need.

Any help is appreciated.

Please use the feature. That has been answered a billion times & there are a billion threads about it.

There is even a sticky on the top of this Forum.

We don't need a billion & one threads on the same old subject.

Re: Wheel Adapters

Im running 17x11 and 17x9.5 vette wheels and as long as you have a total with spacers less than 5.8" backspace for the rear and 4.6" backspace in the front you'll be fine. On mine 17x11 the wheels had a backspace of 7.8 and I put a 2" spacer which brought it down to 5.8" total backspace with no rubbing. The front wheels I went with a 2.5" spacer because the backspacing was 7.1" and I have about a 3/8" clearance to the tie rod and no rubbing. I hope this helps. Mark

Re: Wheel Adapters

I am running 17's and I use a 1.5 inch spacer in the back, I had 2 inch spacers but I did not like how far the wheels stuck out..

1.5" spacers will work but it all comes down to your wheels backspacing to start. I figured out the magic number has to be 5.8" backspacing with the wheel and spacer together. This gives you enough clearance to where you dont have to cut the bumper or inner wheel well out. Here are some photos of mine with the 17x11's on the rear.

Looks like your rear end if off by a bit to the drivers side & could benefit from using an Adjustable Panhard Bar, to re-center it.

No actually these are used 1996 Gran Sport Coupe wheels. The coupes had wider wheels in the rear then the convertibles. Im glad you like it, I even bought a set of GTO spares that have the wording ground off and re-powder coated with the polished lip like the other wheels. They are a close match to the Gran Sport wheels and great for the track... Mark

It is a little off but when you see the car in person it all blends together and you dont notice the little imperfections.

I didn't on my either (17x11/315s), until I hit a bigger dip in the road than I thought it was, & my drivers sides tire met the inner fender lip, Cut off a nice little slice of rubber!

Looks wasn't what I worried about.

Yes. Change them to ARP 12mm and you'll be good.
