Front IROC wheel for spare

I have a 84 Z28 with IROC replica wheels. I have a set of spare IROC wheels from a 86 IROC that I destroyed. Will the front IROC wheel work on both the front and back of my 84 so I can use it as a spare??

I noticed that the front stocker looked like it had the same configuration as the replicas, but wasn't sure about the specs. Thanks TA.

It won't work. You might as well sell me the iroc wheels...

I'm sure it will work. I got the joke. I have other Camaro wheels to use as a spare.

Re: Front IROC wheel for spare

Does a 16" iroc rim (front) fit in the trunk well of the car? I wanna relocate the battery to the rear spare compartment but if i go on a long trip i'd like to have a spare just in case.. I was thinking that ONE universal IROC wheel would do the trick.. If not, I guess it'll have to go in the back seat lol

Re: Front IROC wheel for spare

I don't think it will go in there, but it will fit in my wifes trunk. I don't have a spot for a floor jack either, but I'm not takin that clunky jack for a ride when I can have those tools delivered. From what I gather a front IROC wheel will get you home on either end of the car, but it won't fit in the quarter panel I'm sure.

it should fit there, but defiantly not in the original spot in the quarter

Re: Front IROC wheel for spare

Note the instructions/pictures in your owner's manual. The semi-circular cut in the carpet on the down slope of the well hides a place for the tire stowage bolt. The tire must be fully seated into the depression to provide clearance to window (full size flat).

Re: Front IROC wheel for spare

The front iroc wheels are a 4 3/8" back space and rears are 4 7/8" back space. I use a rear on the front but put longer studs and 1/2" spacer. Using fronts on the rear you might check clearence at wheel well.
