Re: paint stock wheels

yes you can any color you want. Use something to clean them with like some paint prep stuff for metal.Or you can get them powder coated, chromed or even black chrome

Re: paint stock wheels

if you check around there also may be some kind of acid that you can clean them with.I used to service air conditioning units and you would clean them with a aluminium acid. That stuff worked great on my old 15" RS rally wheels.I would probably definitely use a kind of wheel paint instead of reg. paint probably hold up much better

Re: paint stock wheels

i guess almost like painting a car you may even want to primer and coat but i never went that far but if you really want them to look nice i would definitly put some time into it especially getting them clean of all dust and make sure you wash them after you sand or whatnot

Aircraft stripper works wonders, available at most auto arts stores.

I used some self etching primer on mine, followed by a couple of coats of caliper paint on my 15" RS wheels. They held up pretty good before I sold them. They lived on an S10 for a while and, last I heard, did really well with little or no maintenance for the last couple of years.
