Paint code the GTA Gold cross lace?

I'm restoring another set of Epsilon wheels that I am selling to a buddy. They were crudely painted black, and my buddy wants them in the gold color the crosslace OE GTA wheels came in. Hoping someone has refinished their wheels and knows the correct paint code so I can have it mixed up.

Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah!!! I'm blown away. I'm thinking of making a thread on the restoration of them. Guess the CO boys liked their Gulstrand Vettes and Camaro or just plain had great taste. These were a CL find.

Any idea on the paint code?

I used:

GM Aztec Gold - Effect color
Code: 9218 (may be O'reilly's code)
Code2: C9047K M

on mine.

If you want the factory color, and you have a paint gun and air compressor, just go to your local autobody supply and get real base/clear urethane paint...

PPG # 3917
DuPont # B8738
GM Code WA 9008
GM Code 52P
GM Color "Gold Poly"

Any autobody store can get you the paint that you need with one of the above numbers or codes. Some PPG or DuPont stores can also put the paint into a aerosol can.

Kevin I assume you fully disassembled yours, from how nice they look. What torque specs did you use when re-assembling. I have found a range of specifications from different manufactures. Thanks for the paint codes also.

Thanks for the codes guys. I will have a urethane paint mixed up into a can.

Ummm... Tight?

I've been out of town, and you've had me thinking ever since I saw your reply. I had the bolts painted and did not want to touch the front of the bolts. I wound up putting lock-tight on the bolts and hitting them with a weaker impact.

Been running fine for years, but 8 years smarter I would have probably figured out a torque spec.

I will say I did not separate the rings and do have a few small leaks through two sets of tires. What have found for sealing? Looked like a bead of silicone to me.

Well I did split mine since I need to re-seal the questionable silicone job that was previously applied. I'll post what specs I used. for future reference.

Re: Paint code the GTA Gold cross lace?

If you find another set can you send them my way please! Also, are these 3rd or 4th gen offset? I know the 3rd gen ones you found had a HUGE lip! Can you PM me how much you have been paying for these? I just picked up a set of beat up ones that I will need to restore and I paid a GRIP for them!

Lets see some pictures! I will be doing the same resto, but going with black or charcoal for my formy... I'll be sure to post a thread in 4-5 months after I return to Japan from deployment, then return from Japan to the states when I separate

I sure can! Ok just kidding. The set I got are another 17x9.5, but with the Corvette offset, so they are just like shr00m's. I'm not a whole lot further with getting these restored. They are all taken apart. I got screwed on them kinda, the pics the old owner sent of them showed a dirty set of Epsilons with polished outer hoops like I had expected, and found that three of the wheels had spray painted chrome outer hoops... So I have to send the hoops out to be stripped and then I can continue the refinishing process. I got my vert back from paint, and stopped playing with the wheels so I really don't have much to show for pics, but I figured I might start a thread showing what I did when they get all done.

They will be for sale. The buddy of mine that was gonna buy them when ever I had them done has ran out of fun money. Guess a deposit would have been a good idea.
