out with the skinnies and in with some grip!

After about 7 years the skinnies on the front are going away. Now that the car is getting driven more it's just not practical (or as fun). I will post some pics once they're on. I'm getting the tires mounted tonight. I went with a stock size 15x7" rim (same style as what's on the back) with a 215/65R15 tire (stock size)

I'm keeping the 15x8's with 275/60R15's on the back, I like the staggered look, I still won't be able to rotate them, but, at least I'll be able to take a turn! haha.

Pics!

As expected...they don't look much different than the skinnies, as they are the same rim, BUT being that they are 15x7's with 215/65R15's the car handles like it's on rails. When it had the 15x4's w/165s it...didn't lol. Love it. I've always thought it's awesome that these early thirdgens handled just a little better than the corvettes of their time.

I need to put some tire shine on the new rubber. I'm in the midst of body work in prep for paint, so that's why the car looks like...well, like it's in the midst of body work, haha.

Awe man, hope you can get it running fast. I've never rebuilt a tranny so good luck. So far nobody is showing any interest in them so they may still be available in a few weeks.
