I'm trying to find a replacement for one of my rims. Kid before me hit something and it's bent to hell. Underneath the beauty rims it's red also. What do you call this type of rim.
Those look to be "old" (late sixties early seventies) GM "SS" style rims. Chevy, Pontiac, Olds and Buick all used them on their "high performance package". That being said, you can skip the Buick and Olds rims as they had a larger bolt pattern than Chevy and Pontiac. That leaves the Chevy and Pontiac wheels as the options. They are slightly different in design so you would have to look at each carefully to see what would match best. HTH!
P.S. I believe the Chevy wheels were 14" and the Pontiac Firebird wheels were 15" (stock wheels not aftermarket repops).

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not sure if they were painted red or actually came red. At least I have a direction now.
Those are Pontiac only Rally 2 wheels, they were available on some 84-87 firebirds from the factory,I had a 86 with them.
The 70's style ones were painted the opposite of the ones you have with the red/gray/body color on the inside and silver on the outside,I have the old style ones on my 85.
I bought the set I have now,in 15"x8" from summit,they may have a stock sized 15"x7" too...
No factory wheels were red (that style anyway) so yeah they were painted. Those wheels were dark background with silverish spokes. I transposed the colors the first post I made (not thinking, ha!) but you can google those rims and see what the originals looked like. You can get aftermarket wheels in that style for any size and diameter. Wheel Vintiques is one of the oldest manufacturers of replacement wheels and have every thing needed including trim rings and center caps. There is all kind of info on original wheels and you can tell what you have from the code stamped into the wheel by the valve stem.
I also have a set I did in body colors, you can get stick on stencils on e-bay that make it pretty easy............
That's pretty cool! I always liked the "SS" style wheels and liked the way Pontiac trimmed them better than Chevy did for the chevelles. Not much of a difference but I always thought the Pontiacs looked better. JMO!
