Great looking wheels, cool to see manufacturers embracing some retro styling. Price tag will be high, but will be a nice option for high end restorations/mods
I know I am in the minority, but I don't like them that much. They look plain and like the "Z28" wheels. I know they are meant to look like that, but I prefer the Iroc wheel styling...
Remember the buzz when Hawk's was getting ready to release their IROC repops? GTA's, Firehawk wheels, formula wheels, etc. etc.? Those are what, $300 a peice? Those cast wheels are where the market is at. Now these Forgeline's are gorgeous wheels, and I'd love to see pictures if any of you guys get 'em. -and no doubt some will. But the guys who need this caliber of wheel, don't often need the nostalgic design as well. How many first gens are rockin' "retro" Forgeline's? Not many. They're all modern looking. I dunno, love seeing this wheel. -and in their defense, it's custom made, so they're not buried in inventory either, but I feel it's almost a halo wheel. Not gonna make any money, but it's gonna be linked to every bit of media that the Roadster Shop Spec chassis gets soooo you know what they say. Heck, we're talking about it, right.

It's not permissable to say you don't like wheels that someone else likes. Don't you know that???...

Ya know if you look at post #2 you'll see the darker option for these wheels. Closer to the stockers, and the right choice in my opinion regardless of what GM did back in these days. The final version looks plain. ...and frankly, I just don't love the modern lowered big wheel/brake/tire look on these earlier, non Iroc style Z28's. Maybe it's just me getting older. If we take away the performance benefits, and let's be clear, THAT is what Roadster Shop is going for, but I actually LIKE the look of an older car, with some wheel gap, a bigger sidewall, etc. etc. Obviously not their goal, I get it. I think that even though IROCs and Later Z28's are everywhere, I would've chosen a monochrome paintjob without the early car's stripes. Just gone full modern with it. ....they even did the aftermarket stripe down the beltline. Bleh.
Big fan of Roadster Shop and Forgeline, and no doubt an amazing, good looking car. -I would've done it differently. LOL, -for whatever my opinion's worth!!!!! haha
Nope.. I getcha , Right now I'm torn between the titanium and the grey, I will admit the car is a little too low for me as well, Id like a fingers worth above the wheel, Everyone is telling me go with an Iroc style wheel , quite frankly I'm beginning to find that wheel boring and everyone has it. Now i really don't want to pay this price. But there isn't an cast wheel out there that looks like the stocker, That i can find .as for the car and its paintjob ,its ok.

LOL, funny you say that. Any of you guys watch Ed Bolian and his Vinwicki channel on Youtube? He's on the who's who list of exotic owner/dealers/buyers/sellers, yada yada. Anyhow, he has a Bugatti Veyron, and was talking about how finding the proper PEX tires is an INSANELY expensive part of ownership, wanted to run "regular" exotic tires, but did NOT want to buy HRE or Forgelines, etc. etc. Wanted to keep the stock SuperSport wheels. He found this company in China, Forza Performance, who would make these wheels. Anyhow, he mispec'd two, had 'em remade, and had two extra. Decided to test them, and found them to actually be STRONGER than the stock Bugatti wheels. Did proper acoustic/vibration testing by a proper lab, and then....well.....also with a big excavator running them over, etc. etc. Further research found that this company makes LOTS of wheels for exotic car customers who want very minor little specs changed on their factory wheels, or to provided extra sets for those who's wheels are either insanely expensive or simply no longer available.
....and of course, the whole point is that they make the Z28 15" Rally wheel in pretty much whatever size you'd want. Yes, China, but their track record appears to have quite the lengthy list of high end customers. They ARE forged. They ARE incredibly affordable. They ARE from China, and frankly I'd prefer this not turn into politics, so let's please leave those comments out of this. Anyhow, my '86 Z has the 15" stockers, and while I'd PREFER to keep those wheels, I'd love bigger brakes and a modern performance tire. We'll see.
Also, for what it's worth. The forgeline wheel looks like it has a polished lip around them which is part of how they get the extra diameter without overly deforming the proportions of the wheel. The Forza wheel looks to be pretty close to the actual GM version, which can sometimes look great in a photo, but once on the car, can look oversized and sometimes strange. Or....this pic might be of the 15" model, and maybe they DO add a lip/ring to get extra diameter. Don't know, but I'm sure they'd be happy to discuss. I reached out them about various detals, so we'll see what they say.
See you give 2 options now. Id like to see more than the one pic.. I like the lip but the price is high.. other selling point is Iroc wheels are everywhere and not too many people have these yet.. Wonder if i can get a 2 tone like the Forgeline and what the center caps look like.. Not a fan of the stocker that sticks way out but if they can do a shorter version, That would be a plus.

For a little money, you can do pretty much anything. Doubt it would be too hard to find a centercap you liked. Also, I had a quote on powdercoating for wheels on another project. They said they could do one color for about $600, and two color for under $1000. Buy these, have someone local do the finishing, and you're STILL less than one Forgeline.
Yup. Looks like something someone on Alibaba can do.
'American' wheel 'manufacturers" I'll call them resellers have been pulling wool over our eyes for ever by using Chinese production, being the middleman, marking up hundreds or percents.

No ty.
This is not American. Not claiming to be. -though I agree with your frustration over what you're describing. Made in America and Assembled in America are different things.
The way i see it this wheel has been ignored way too long , as 15/16" tires get fewer and fewer for performance options people who want an original look . not to mention brake upgrades.
