The notch at the left was necessary to clear my big electric water pump, the opening you see behind it is the end of the guide slot for the nut that the adjustment bolt threads into

I cut off and epoxied shut the original return, found a thick spot that I drilled and tapped for a new fitting and epoxied that in when I confirmed the angle.

I hate when people leave these things without turndonws, and I hate soot covering the bottom of my car.

I don't know what happened to the original wiring but the boot was messed up, I just put a wad of paper in there to keep stuff away from the motor and filled it with RTV. The original harness was gone so I cut off the QTP connection and put a 2pin trailer harness style connector on it.

Everything all neat and tidy. I threw the turndown in the blast cabinet and then coated it with black ceramic :-P

5 minute sketchup ;)
The center hole is pretty non-critical size wise, as long as the shift lever doesn't hit it.

It's hard to tell but the shift lever bends right where the pin goes through it

turned slightly, you can see it's not a straight fore and aft or side to side bend, it's in 2 axis, and if you redrill a new hole for the pin above the original hole the lever/ball will no longer sit under the pivot
