This doesn't look too bad till you realize that the boot needs to seat on the surface below it's bottom edge, that it almost fits inside rather than over the ball joint.

the mount I made, the back lip fits into the stock battery box hold down, the front uses the stock hold down to bolt down so technically I'm using the stock box with the stock mounts with a battery that is much smaller (it would easily fit in the space you have left)

Modified y-pipe I made for this set. It looks kind of rough but that's mostly because the high temp paint is still wet in places giving things all sorts of different textures/colors.
