My Ultimate TBI Photos! + A question....

Just finished the Ultimate TBI mod, but I had a question for you others who have
done it also. What did you use to clean the metal shavings off with? Did you dip the unit in some soultion? What is the safe way to clean it? I was going to use an air compressor after, but wanted to know what do dip it in....Here are some photos, some were before I sanded the edges though....

that was fun.

It looks good but I would add a radius to the inside lip there. to clean it I just used some compressed air and some good ol carb cleaner. Just make sure there aren't any significant chips in the spring or around the throttle blades.

Make sure to keep carb claner away from the IAC and TPS. I would not submerge it in it at all.

Cool, I got another Question...What is a "cold immersion cleaner"?
Would carb cleaner fit that catagory?
Thanks

Thanks Shifty I'll work on that radius and post some more pics....

You'd probably be OK with WD-40 (what can't it do, right ), but I'd just go ahead and get some carb cleaner. Once you get some you'll wonder how you went without it.

Now I just need to get some super-fine grit sandpaper to finish it off.
