Whoa, here's a new one..........

When I jump the ALDL, something under the plenum makes an electrical buzzing and popping noise. My car won't start anymore unless I lower the fuel pressure to 30psi. Once it starts it runs like crap. I'm guessing my injectors are trash.

Word to the wise...............$50 LT1 injectors are $50 for a reason and "worked fine before they where removed" means "****ed up".

Send them to Cruzin performance, then you have some rather cheap 24lb injectors.

Yeah, i wouldn't recommend running used injectors unless you have them cleaned first, or at least are good friends with the person whose car they came out of. Like you said 'worked fine' means 'i don't think they will explode but all other bets are off'

They worked well all summer. I've always had problems with the car starting though. I guess this solves the mystery. I'm expecting some of them are getting stuck open when they heat up. Are these likely salvageable or are they garbage?

What pins are you jumping on the ALDL?

Don't feel bad about the injectors. I purchased a set of 24# LT1 injectors that only had something like 50k miles on them for $40. I still sent them out to be slow tested and sonic cleaned thinking I was getting a hell of a steal. I thought I'd have basically brand new injectors for $140 all said and done. I installed them into my 350 and less than 1500 miles later the injector on #4 physically hung open 100%. It wasn't a shorted ground, the damn thing just stuck wide open dumping crazy amounts of fuel into the engine. I had almost 2 quarts of fuel in my oil pan when I realized what was going on.

Hey Scorp, how ya doin? I hang out a 'vetteforum. What happened to your "new" engine really sucks. I hope that head can be repaired. I modeled my engine combo from a couple of guys cars on the corvetteforum, including yours. I had alot of help from Bowtye8.

I've been jumping A and B. I noticed the noise when I was checking for codes. I bought the injectors from a guy in your area. You get what you pay for I guess. I went all out on everything else and then bought $50 injectors

Thanks, this really is a kick in the nuts what happened. Live and learn I guess. Bowtye8 is a great guy, can't go wrong with any advice he gives.

A and B are rightmost two in the top row, right? I can never remember the lables on them. Have you been able to isolate what side of the car it is coming from? I would at least expect your fan relay to power the cooling fan when in diagnostic mode. I cannot remember if the MAF relays energize also at this time.

That's another thing............My fans won't come on, ever. They don't come on when the ALDL is jumped and they don't come on when the car is hot either. The injector problem and fan problem are probably related (captainobvious). The car has just gone completely to hell in the last month. I think I have some dead lifters as well. Time for some of the GM gen II lifters.

Did you ever get the billet SR lid for the NX kit? Tim at LPE told me the same thing he told you. I can't find the part # anywhere.

Dennis has helped me out several times. Sometimes he takes a while to respond but he always finds time to answer my dumb questions.

..and yeah, the top right 2 ports. I can't figure out which side is making the noise. The SR has to come off anyways.

Looks like it is time to break out the electrical supplement book if you have it and start following the wires for the fan relay. That defnitely is an issue I would try to solve.

I didn't get the billet lid yet. I've been spending enough $ just trying to get the foolish thing running for more than a week. Fix one thing, 2 more break. I should be able to get the part number for you though.
